While there can certainly be disappointment in not seeing the color desired in a particular configuration, I think you've managed to find the best middle ground. Offering so many sizes and configurations, but only in limited cover colors, is great. At the end of the day (or year), it's what is between the cover that matters the most.
Absolutely! I am very fond of the caramel and forest green, but it’s what’s inside. And you can always put on a cover and decorate it with any color or design!
I also think having all options in all colors can bring us to something called decision paralysis, when there are so many options you can't even function and pick one. I think all colors are gorgeous and now we can focus on the size and inside of the planner, which is hard enough to pick haha

I became hooked on the Common Planner last year. I absolutely love it; it fits all my needs. Thank you for such in-depth videos. I was hoping the printing would be a bit darker. Perfect! The color choices are also lovely. If someone can’t find an option they like, you’d never be able to please them anyway.
My goodness this is so many SKUs! Can’t believe you are able to offer this many products, you’re truly incredible at what you do. I wish I had use for every single one because I want them all!! Also, a lot of popular planner companies only offer one color for their products and you are offering several!!! Omg im dying for the restock of the horizontal version! I JUST found out this came out this year with the horizontal weekly AND 3.9x3.9 grid! I’m late in finding this out but I screamed when I watched this. Omg eff the planner cover colors - I think you are literally bringing me planner peace with the pocket planner!!!! I’ve been using the moleskine for a few years now and hated how we weren’t given a month on 2 pages & back note pages but omggg this legit answered everything I ever wanted/needed!!! THANK YOU!!! I am not deciding between the passport & pocket 😂 but I am DEF ordering !!

Finally! A B6 planner with timed weekly pages! I am so excited because this the the one thing that I wished that other planner companies would make. I don't have a ton of stuff to plan in my weeklies but I do like to have them for work. This is great and the covers are beautiful.

I am new to Sterling Ink and I'm blown away by how thorough your videos, designs and thought processes are. I am a new small business owner, and I understand the challenges of MOQ and wanting to offer it all but limited with budgeting. I love these detailed videos, and I am thinking I'll be getting an A6 Vertical Compact (and possibly also an N1-V Compact). These are layouts that Hobonichi lack, and I'm pretty tired of the quotes that I don't connect with but take up precious space.
All the colours are so beautiful! You've created something really incredible and I can't wait to pick my planner for next year. P.s. I kind of like that the choices will be narrowed because there's so many colours/size combos I bet it'll help me decide one way or another :)
As much as I wish for an A6 in mulberry, I do understand that with this wave of new sizes/options for 2025 have to be limited in colors. I am still glad the A6 options are in 2 colors I will still enjoy. Still mulling over if I am getting full or compact. I'm so excited❣
Fantastic options!! I love the new colors! There are no new colors for what I'll be ordering but that's okay...the color of the cover is a minor thing, nice but not necessary!! The options for sizes/styles is phenomenal and THAT is most important!! Can't wait to get mine!

I had made up my mind about which sizes and layouts I am going to order and would just pick from the available color choices because it’s the planner pages that are the most important - plus you can always put a cover on the book if you don’t like the color. Hooray! I didn't know compact was a thing 😍 The full year is definitely too hefty for me so I was curious about a notebook+booklet combo but now I'll wait to see all the other horizontal compact options 👏🏻

Even if your planner size is not available in the colour option you want, I feel that I will be looking at the inside more than the outside cover. It is in my leather cover. I rarely see the planner cover. I love that you offer so many sizes. Much prefer those options. Can't please everyone.

Same with the A6 vertical, it’s my favorite size. I love my A6-full year-Forest and was hoping for that again in 2025. Now it’s only in compact. Was also hoping for the B5 vertical in Mulberry.
Same here. I have to use a compact bc the full year is way too much and I hate green and almost want to check out other companies bc of the options. First world problems for sure. Hoping the regular b6 has better colors for the compact version. If not then I may want to reconsider my purchase. I already got the full year academic and immediately gave it to my kid bc it was way to thick for me.
@@brookecasey2593 I totally understand your feelings on it. I am shocked that the Forest was ever the only option for any configuration. We must be very outnumbered because that color is a deal breaker for me too. Crossing my fingers that the B6 comes in a color you like (I am crossing my fingers for a5 & N1 in the pink and purple pretty colors).

Although I appreciate a small shop can’t do all the sizes in all the colours I can’t say I’m not disappointed that there is only one colour choice in the compact versions 😢 So it looks like I’ll have to use a cover this year if I buy from SI 😢😢😊

I’m not going to lie, I am a bit disappointed that the pocket is not available in one of the new colors BUT I am happy it’s available in a full year. I do completely understand why the color combos had to be limited to keep things manageable though. I think that overall the choices are great, and Catherine and her team are doing a fantastic job.
I was hoping for B6 Slim in Mulberry, however; I'm not upset. 1) I have other planner sizes on my list I know will be in Mulberry. 2) The color selections available only helps it narrow down my indecisiveness 😊. I'm looking forward to seeing the color choices for the rest of the planners. 💐

Beautiful selection. Though I'm disappointed, there isn't a vertical and compact option for the pocket size. Have been hoping for a vertical weekly pocket size. Still, I'm glad for the variety of options to choose my next best thing. 😊

I am SO excited for the B5 and definitely leaning in that direction -- but I am having a hell of a time finding clear covers that might fit it. I get why you're not doing covers anymore, but any advice on clear covers you think might work? I am rough with my stuff so it won't last the year if I don't have a cover lol!

The a6 vertical js just /perfect/ because it has 6 grid an hour so 10minutes each and my color coding markers just fit so perfectly it's s really nice....a6 split year in mist you'll be missed, you were really the one for me 😢 I guess the split isn't that needed when you repeat the quaterly, but the colors...........tried looking for the b6slim and it's the same?? n2 has 6grids but it's caramel and forest only again?? A nightmare 😭😭😭
Ugh…I am having a hard time deciding between passport, a6, or a N1. I had a full year as my preorder last year l… but now I realize I need a compact instead of a full year.😅 but it’s hard to decide which one I want to carry around with me.
After having every size imaginable and every lay out in 2024 including the undated daily and undated A5 and the academic planners and the N1- that B5 is screaming my name 😁. Thank you 🎉🎉
So disappointed in the B5 full year vertical colour 😳. The one colour i don’t like. Any suggestions how to overcome this - don’t want to ruin it by covering it with paper
You can put a clear cover on it and insert vellum or other printable to make it look any way you want. Then you can change the insert whenever the season, or mood, strikes you.
i was hoping this video would help me decide between the A6 vertical compact and B6S vertical compact -- but i am as torn as ever, LOL! I also thought, meh, I don't have a need for the B5 and then I saw it. I am so indecisive no, hah!! I am SO excited for the passport vertical in linen, it is the only thing I don't need help deciding. Small graces, LOL.
Im so excited! I know i want the pocket & B6 Slim- probably both in Onyx. Would love the passport in mulberry or tweed! before we were worried about how much inventory we would need to order so we did the preorder, but this year. we should have enough inventory that it wont be a problem!

I have been wondering if you offer passport size with horizontal weekly on left and on right blank pages and I see it doesn’t & I understand why it’s going to be very smaller layout. The closest next size to in with a full page horizontal would be the Pocket size as you mentioned. Also based on the dimensions they have listed on their website the pocket seems like it will be slightly bigger than the travelers company passport size
I’m so excited! I was thinking only about the A5, but the pocket/passport (I need to go look at the dimensions) would be great to have to carry around easily in my purse for jotting down on the go notes! Having the same format for something that comes up when I’m out and about makes everything easy to keep track of…hadn’t thought of that, but they look beautiful and very handy! Looking forward to seeing the A5 vertical!
I really would have loved the B5 vertical in Mist gold full year. Caramel wouldnt have been my choice, but its okay. Maybe it will be the option to get a clear cover and take some vellum over. If I would have an idea, I would decide to go with the 4 main colours for the different variations and choose the little planners in the new or fancy colours. So everyone has a consistent colourrange and something to play with. I didnt want to be disappointed, just saw the B5 in Mist and was happy just to recognize it was not the full year. I think, people who choose bigger planners, dont need a compact, because the planner will stay at home or fits in a business bag.
I do like the variety, but the one I want the most will need a cover because it only comes in Onyx (B6 slim horizontal full year). I'm just glad I got that option, the pages are the important part. Hopefully there will be plastic covers offered again too.

I love these detailed videos, and I am thinking I'll be getting an A6 Vertical Compact (and possibly also an N1-V Compact). These are layouts that Hobonichi lack, and I'm pretty tired of the quotes that I don't connect with but take up precious space.

As much as I wish for an A6 in mulberry, I do understand that with this wave of new sizes/options for 2025 have to be limited in colors.
I am still glad the A6 options are in 2 colors I will still enjoy. Still mulling over if I am getting full or compact. I'm so excited❣

Fantastic options!! I love the new colors! There are no new colors for what I'll be ordering but that's okay...the color of the cover is a minor thing, nice but not necessary!! The options for sizes/styles is phenomenal and THAT is most important!! Can't wait to get mine!

I’m excited about the horizontal weekly planners where Saturday and Sunday get their own rows! However, add me to the list of being disappointed in the color options. Mulberry was calling me! Just black for my preferred planner though. Perhaps as you work on 2026 planners you can do polls to get feedback on cover colors?

Forest is my favorite colorway and it feels nicer than all the other covers IMO. Caramel is also very pretty.

Loving this! I had made up my mind about which sizes and layouts I am going to order and would just pick from the available color choices because it’s the planner pages that are the most important - plus you can always put a cover on the book if you don’t like the color. Even if your planner size is not available in the colour option you want, I feel that I will be looking at the inside more than the outside cover. It is in my leather cover. I rarely see the planner cover. I love that you offer so many sizes. Much prefer those options. Can't please everyone.

A bit disappointed with the cover options for B6 slim vertical. Was really hoping to get it in some of the new colors.

Same with the A6 vertical, it’s my favorite size. I love my A6-full year-Forest and was hoping for that again in 2025. Now it’s only in compact. Was also hoping for the B5 vertical in Mulberry.

Same here. I have to use a compact bc the full year is way too much and I hate green and almost want to check out other companies bc of the options. First world problems for sure. Hoping the regular b6 has better colors for the compact version. If not then I may want to reconsider my purchase. I already got the full year academic and immediately gave it to my kid bc it was way to thick for me.
@@brookecasey2593 I totally understand your feelings on it. I am shocked that the Forest was ever the only option for any configuration. We must be very outnumbered because that color is a deal breaker for me too. Crossing my fingers that the B6 comes in a color you like (I am crossing my fingers for a5 & N1 in the pink and purple pretty colors).

Although I appreciate a small shop can’t do all the sizes in all the colours I can’t say I’m not disappointed that there is only one colour choice in the compact versions 😢 So it looks like I’ll have to use a cover this year if I buy from SI 😢😢😊

I’m not going to lie, I am a bit disappointed that the pocket is not available in one of the new colors BUT I am happy it’s available in a full year. I do completely understand why the color combos had to be limited to keep things manageable though. I think that overall the choices are great, and Catherine and her team are doing a fantastic job.

I was hoping for B6 Slim in Mulberry, however; I'm not upset. 1) I have other planner sizes on my list I know will be in Mulberry. 2) The color selections available only helps it narrow down my indecisiveness 😊.

Beautiful selection. Though I'm disappointed, there isn't a vertical and compact option for the pocket size. Have been hoping for a vertical weekly pocket size. Still, I'm glad for the variety of options to choose my next best thing. 😊

I am SO excited for the B5 and definitely leaning in that direction -- but I am having a hell of a time finding clear covers that might fit it. I get why you're not doing covers anymore, but any advice on clear covers you think might work? I am rough with my stuff so it won't last the year if I don't have a cover lol!
VDS and Galan make nice covers, also we will be rereleasing our clear covers in the future too if you want to wait!

I switching sizes next year. I went with the B6 Slim H, and I can’t wait to use it. In my hand it feels like the perfect EDC size.

The a6 vertical js just /perfect/ because it has 6 grid an hour so 10minutes each and my color coding markers just fit so perfectly it's s really nice....a6 split year in mist you'll be missed, you were really the one for me 😢
I guess the split isn't that needed when you repeat the quaterly, but the colors...........tried looking for the b6slim and it's the same?? n2 has 6grids but it's caramel and forest only again?? A nightmare 😭😭😭
Ugh…I am having a hard time deciding between passport, a6, or a N1. I had a full year as my preorder last year l… but now I realize I need a compact instead of a full year.😅 but it’s hard to decide which one I want to carry around with me.

Has anyone tried using a passport size in a traveler's notebook on a string? Did the binding hold up with a year's worth of use?
So disappointed in the B5 full year vertical colour 😳. The one colour i don’t like. Any suggestions how to overcome this - don’t want to ruin it by covering it with paper
If you use double sided tape / a glue runner you shouldn't ruin it, or you can load it with stickers!
You can put a clear cover on it and insert vellum or other printable to make it look any way you want. Then you can change the insert whenever the season, or mood, strikes you.
same…. i will get a clear cover and use vellum. that way i can change it based on how i am feeling and for the seasons/holidays!
Please make a blue-type anx/or pink-type cover in all full planners - love them, thank you!! 🤗

i was hoping this video would help me decide between the A6 vertical compact and B6S vertical compact -- but i am as torn as ever, LOL! I also thought, meh, I don't have a need for the B5 and then I saw it. I am so indecisive no, hah!! we are excited for the release too! and there will be no notebooks in the new colors as a part of the 2025 Common Planner launch that we have coming up next month but appreciate the suggestion!

before we were worried about how much inventory we would need to order so we did the preorder, but this year. we should have enough inventory that it wont be a problem!

Amazing job! Reminder already set in my calendar and marked in my common planer ❤ although you made my decision difficult. I wish there would be pocket in compact version. Full year gonna by too thick for my back pocket 😢 And the passport with horizontal on both pages is not my favorite layout. Decisions decisions. But also very excited about B5!!! thank you so much for the kind words! and currently its only offered with the 2 page layout because of the size constraint. The closest next size to in with a full page horizontal would be the Pocket size as you mentioned. Also based on the dimensions they have listed on their website the pocket seems like it will be slightly bigger than the travelers company passport size

I’m so excited! I was thinking only about the A5, but the pocket/passport (I need to go look at the dimensions) would be great to have to carry around easily in my purse for jotting down on the go notes! Having the same format for something that comes up when I’m out and about makes everything easy to keep track of…hadn’t thought of that, but they look beautiful and very handy! Looking forward to seeing the A5 vertical!

I really would have loved the B5 vertical in Mist gold full year. Caramel wouldnt have been my choice, but its okay. Maybe it will be the option to get a clear cover and take some vellum over. If I would have an idea, I would decide to go with the 4 main colours for the different variations and choose the little planners in the new or fancy colours. So everyone has a consistent colourrange and something to play with. I didnt want to be disappointed, just saw the B5 in Mist and was happy just to recognize it was not the full year. I think, people who choose bigger planners, dont need a compact, because the planner will stay at home or fits in a business bag.
I do like the variety, but the one I want the most will need a cover because it only comes in Onyx (B6 slim horizontal full year). I'm just glad I got that option, the pages are the important part. Hopefully there will be plastic covers offered again too.
