      Remember seeing this the day or the day after it happened in the news. That barrier never should have been there

    • @Fitch93
      @Fitch93 7 місяців тому

      No that barrier shouldn't have been there however, a car shouldn't explode like that when it hits a tire barrier like that. Thing was, the team and NASCAR Mexico, successfully managed to deflect enough blame at the track to keep people from asking why his car exploded like it did.

    • @dman5527x
      @dman5527x Місяць тому

      The idea of the design is right but the placement and materials used are what's mind boggling. That opening itself isn't a huge issue if it's placed further towards the infield and it's a tire barrier with the water barrels instead of straight concrete dividers

    I’m so proud that you talked about the NASCAR Mexico series and it’s history because I started watching the races around last year and I think NASCAR needs to start doing now more than ever is to promote the series more than ever with the rise of diversity the sport is getting We need to start promoting this series more and more because not only is it a way to teach people about the series but teach other people that there are more series in NASCAR than the truck series Xfinity series and series and I think we need to start promoting other series like The ones in Canada, Brazil and Europe as well and I think it will increase the series viewership among younger viewers like how it did with the cup series back in 2020 And I think they need to start promoting more in Asia in countries like South Korea and China. we did it with Japan, so why can’t we do it with those two make sense, right?

    2009 was a very dark year for NASCAR, & especially in the months of May & June. Since this tragedy didn't happen in a Top 3 NASCAR series, it gets easily overlooked.
    The crash speaks for itself. It was that bad. Like with Sterling Marlin after Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s death, a lot of people wanted Jorge Goeters' head as a result of this.

    • @Dat-Mudkip

      It's worrying that fans send death threats when someone is killed in a racing accident. The word "accident" is right in the name! Yet people act like it was a carefully thought out plan to intentionally kill a fellow driver.
