Great interview, some nice insight in to Steve's animation background and techniques on Jurassic. He really shaped that film from being Stop Mo to CGI

I still find it strange that Tippet and Muren won an Oscar for this film
    And never mentioned Spaz

If you haven't seen doc on Spaz "Jurrasic Punk" I suggest you watch it. Major bone of contention for Williams as it rightfully should have.

Two scumbags. And Tippet has the nerve to still be passively aggressive when the subject of stop motion not being used for Jurassic Park.

Steven one of them must be adopted considering they’re a month apart in age.

So why did Muren take credit for this when he had nothing to do with it?

Yep Murens another hack that stole Spazs creation of CGI as we know it, just like Bob Kane took all the credit for Batman from Bill Finger.

And the animation still doesn’t sit in its environment as well as JP’s T-Rex to this day.
The only thing that seemed to come close is in the second movie, the raptor chasing Ian Malcolm in and out of that building, and then when it jumped and slipped and fell down in the mud. It showed that they moved like a real animal, too.
