What the best app or website to start with stocks? I've got $1,000 and with the market so low I think I should invest for the long term I hope you can reply today, thanks
Hey! For me, I love M1 Finance for long term investing. Once you learn the platform is amazing. Here's a review I did after using it for over a year. ua-cam.com/video/nKG28QmKWoA/v-deo.html If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
@@TruFinancials Thank you every much for the video. M1 looks good but I'm also thinking about TD Ameritrade. What are your feelings about them coming in as a starter?
Atm Bitcoin looks promising. Since Its been averaging around 9,500,9,800 so buy it at a low dip and wait for it to peak to sell, which ironically happens around market opening. For me 8:30 am central time.
Ok... so it says I have 15$ in my net account amount, but when I want to buy a stock that's 7$, it says insuff. funds. is this because the transaction between my bank and etrade haven't cleared, or is there a maze of fees that don't appear?
@@TruFinancials it tells me that my funds aren't immediately available because of my equity I guess. So I have to wait an unspecified amount of time and I was on hold forever with them so I just gave up. Also, the website has major issues in Mozilla for me. Works on my phone for the most part.
I opened account, has transferred $500 to the Etrade account, but it does not let me to buy stock, it kept saying "Our system is not able to find account details to place order. Please try again later." or "Invalid accountld". Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks
I made this video in part because I was having trouble myself using the service to help a family member out. Being honest, I don't prefer it when compared to some of the other companies out there. It feels combersome at times.
As someone who's been using multiple investing brokerages to record videos, this one feels behind. The user interface is clunky and hard to find what I'm looking for. Every brokerage takes a bit of getting use to, but this one feels outdated overall. As mentioned in the video, this isn't an account I personally have but for a family member. I made the video because even I was annoyed at how to buy and sell.
@@TruFinancials Can you do fractional shares on either of those 2 you mentioned? Just starting off and working with smaller money until I get the hang of this and some practice so rather be able to do fractional in order to diversify. Thanks in advance
@@TruFinancials thats my question... so u buy the 8 shares... what if it changes before it executes? How long does it take to excute? You buy 8 but goes up then you only get 7?
Why do I keep getting dropped after waiting for 30 minutes for customer service? Why after immediately taking my money in a simple transfer from a savings account can I not access or move my money? Why am I being told I have to upload a multitude of private documents to utilize money that you accepted? Your customer service process and utilization is worse than calling a Walmart! I need answers and more importantly, I need my money!!
Appreciate you sharing your experience with them, Jason. I haven't had the need to call their customer service but that doesn't sound like a pleasant experience. As mention in the video, I'm actually not even the biggest fan of the service overall.
As a first-timer who is looking for beginner info on the world of buying stocks online, I found it a bit weird that 10 seconds into the video you're already talking about a "rebalance button". I guess this isn't for beginners.
I'm sorry if that make it less simple to understand. My goal is to make it as easy to retain. Usually, if I mention something I try and break it down. I apologize that it didn't happen here. Rebalance can mean a few things but in this context it meant that I wanted to change out what the account was invested in. Sell out stock A and B to buy stock C all at once. Hope that helps.
Fantastic question. 0 commission means it doesn't cost you to buy and sell funds. Back in the day it would cost you $5-$15 per trade you do!! It's crazy thinking that was normal. Nowadays $0 commission is the norm.

I made this video in part because I was having trouble myself using the service to help a family member out. Being honest, I don't prefer it when compared to some of the other companies out there. It feels combersome at times.
I put 600$ on my brokerage and when I want try to buy a trade and its tell me that I don’t have enough founds
Did you wait a few days for the funds to clear through?
Hey man do you recommend using E Trade?
To be honest, I didn't like it too much. I prefer M1 Finance and Vanguard when it comes to investing.
@@TruFinancials Curious what didn't you like about e-trade. I just opened an account with e-trade, so your opinion is appreciated. Thanks.
@@TruFinancials Thanks for the response.
@@TruFinancials Can you do fractional shares on either of those 2 you mentioned? Just starting off and working with smaller money until I get the hang of this and some practice so rather be able to do fractional in order to diversify. Thanks in advance
Also E trade is asking for a picture of my SSN to be approved?
Hmmm that part I don't recall. It might be for extra security. They are a reputable brand.

I transferred money into etradr account and it says successful after 2 days but when i try to buy stock it says error insufficient funds
That sounds like a strange issue if it said the transfer was successful. I'd reach out to E-Trade at that point.
What’s the best platform if you want to invest in a stock long term?
I love M1 Finance for long-term investing which is what I personally have.
How do I make money available for investment?
After you deposit, it can take a few business days for the transfer to complete.
So “good for day” means that it’ll just start tomorrow and go on until canceled? It’s not like day trading, right?
Correct, it's not day trading. It just means that your action is set until end of day.
@@TruFinancials thats my question... so u buy the 8 shares... what if it changes before it executes? How long does it take to excute? You buy 8 but goes up then you only get 7?
How can you make money off E*TRADE?
I took the volume chart off and don’t know how to add it back.🤦♂️
How do i fix that
I deposited money in my portfolio but it's saying I have no buying power . What's going on
It might be taking time to transfer from your regular bank into the account.

thanks .
You're welcome!
Damn too fast, I’m a slow learner. I’m thinking about doing this but I have no idea where to start.

Hope that helps.
me gustaría pudieras ayudarme a poner un stop loss ,pero no entiendo el idioma ingles
Sometimes it wont let me buy.. wuss up with that
That's strange. Is there an error code that pops up that you can email them about.
What is 0 commission on an etrade account?
Fantastic question. 0 commission means it doesn't cost you to buy and sell funds. Back in the day it would cost you $5-$15 per trade you do!! It's crazy thinking that was normal. Nowadays $0 commission is the norm.
@@TruFinancials is the 0 commission only for buying ETF?

E*TRADE has execution problems ..freezes a lot. Many bugs .. I don’t recommend it at all.
What do you recommend using? I'm trying to figure out which one is better to use. Thanks
It’s kind of wild that you are starting with selling? Like bro I just opened this account and am trying to buy $30 worth of stocks. I’m so lost right now lol
Just opened my account.. totally lost how to do it..

I'm new to trading. I have the etrade app on my phone. Put $200 in the account for now. It went through. Tried to buy some stock and it said that there were not enough funds in the account. Didn't use all of the money in the account so why is this happening?
Are you trying to buy individual stocks or ETFs? Most ETFs need a certain minimum as an initial deposit to start investing in them.
Can't buy anything! Says insufficient funds not in your account. $200 was excepted for the account.
@@eldiabloelbandito9550 is your account working now?
wow they are really scam!
but i just want to know how to find nasdaq :'(
it says enter symbol ... wtf
So as a regular investor you're not investing in the nasdaq directly. There see ETFs that track it. QQQ is one of the biggest.
@@TruFinancials yes I see qqq has a 0.2 ratio though compared to itot is only 0.03 though that's not nasdaq but it doesn't matter they all go down for the virus of course long term qqq is better because it's tech only

I have to hold every share I buy for at least 90 days to skip the 50 dollar fee?
Just the initial deposit you make into the fund.
