I'm Japanese, RM is right I wasn't focus lyric for Japanese song I believe Korean people are same way. I was starting listening BTS songs I didn't understand Korean as international fans and I checked English subtitles really carefully. After that I found out BTS songs lyric are really hit me. I'm 62 I never listen Rap music but BTS changed me. Sorry my English. I hope many Korean people listen carefully BTS lyrics and they will understand why many international fans love BTS. 가끔 주변에서 제가 아미라고 하면 도대체 방탄의 무엇이 좋은지 물어봐요. 그런데 방탄에 대해 아무리 이야기해도 그 사람들은 귀담아 들으려 하지 않아요. 물론 저는 그들을 충분히 이해해요. 저도 방탄 데뷔 때는 이름이 특이하다했고 그동안 알았던 흔한 어린 가수일거라 편견을 가졌었지요. 그러다 작년에 우연히 방탄의 노래를 듣고는 방탄의 노래에 담긴 메세지를 접하고는 정말 충격적이었고 어떻게 이런 아이돌을 다른 아이돌과 동일시 했는지 너무 미안해서 매일 그들에 대해 알아가기에 이르렀네요. 종종 우울증으로 인한 자살의 유혹에서, 또는 질병으로 인한 죽음의 문턱에서 방탄을 통해 새로운 삶을 살아가게 되었다는 글들을 보면 제 자신과 똑같은 경우라 격하게 동감하기도 해요. 그런데 이상한 것은 우리 나라에서는 방탄의 행보가 그리 대단하게 다뤄지지 않는다는 거에요. 전 팝 뮤직을 좋아한 지 40여년이나 되었고 방탄이 얼마나 대단한 아티스트인지 알겠던데 빌보드에서 앨범 순위 1위를 하고 그룹 부문 1위를 하는 등의 위업을 달성했음에도 국내에서 제대로 인정받지 못하는 것이 통탄스럽네요. 이러니 제 주변 사람들은 나이도 어지간히 먹은 데다가 방탄의 행보를 알 길이 없으니 방탄이 왜 대단한지 알 도리가 없지요. 곧 60을 바라보는 노년의 아미이지만 이제는 방탄의 음악이 국외가 아닌 국내에서 더욱 그 가치를 인정받기를 바라는 마음에 댓글을 썼네요. 우리 방탄에 관심 가져주셔서 정말 감사해요.

저도 작년까지만 해도, 방탄이 세계적으로 인기라고 할때, 왜 얘네들일까? 하고 의문이 들었던 1인입니다ㅎㅎ 우리나라 그 많은 아이돌 중에, 왜 딱 얘네지? 하는 그런 마음이요. 하지만 이들의 음악에 대해, 음악을 통해 담으려는 메세지에 대해, 또 그들이 지나오고 이겨내온 과정에 대해, 그리고 그들 개개인의 능력과 퍼스널리티, 거기다 서로를, 또 팬들을 진심으로 아끼는 애정어린 마음까지, 알면 알수록, 두 분 말씀처럼 좋아할 수밖에 없는 그룹이더라고요. 마치 내 새끼들처럼(저는 나이가 좀 있는 아미라ㅎㅎ) 웃는 모습을 보면 같이 즐거워지고 세계적으로 인정받는 모습을 보면 내가 다 뿌듯하고, 진짜 빠져버렸어요ㅎㅎ 이들에 대해 모를 수는 있어도 알면서 좋아하지 않기는 어려울 것 같아요. 응원하지 않을 수가 없는 자랑스러운 아이들입니다. 두 분보다 조금 더 일찍 아미가 된 입장에서 감히 말씀드리자면, 그들의 매력은 이제 시작입니다ㅎㅎ 아직 보고 즐기실 것들이 너무 많이 남았어요~~ 다음 컴백 전까지 많이 따라잡으십시다 파이팅!! ^^

I am American and 45 years old. I love BTS. Their lyrics have so much meaning and have so many layers to them that when you listen to a song you may get one meaning that time but the next time you listen you may realize another way it can be interpreted and your mind is blown once again by how brilliant and talented they are. Their music is not just for youth but it transcends all ages. Their message is timeless and universal. That is why so many people can relate to their music. They truly are my favorite artist ever. I have never loved any celebrity or idol like I love BTS. They are a treasure and a gift from the heavens to all of us on this planet.

Someone told me before, "idefc about the lyrics. I just want to enjoy the music." Something is not right. These artist including other groups only have their music as a platform to tell their stories, pains and thoughts. If you didn't pay attention with their lyrics how you can understand them as human? So many fans didn't full aware with this matter. When something bad happen to their artist, many people start to understand the message and feel regret because too late to catch and understand their stories, pain and thoughts. Music is a medium for fan to enjoy but it also a platform for the musician to share their stories, pain also thoughts. No need to really understand, just a lilttle bit aware about it.😊
On the contrary, I found many turn off because the lyrics is gross.. I am fine with filler lyrics, just mumbling things.. But many has good rythm but gross lyrics, like 'sex and party' things.. Too bad.. I am happy that Bts put so much effort on the lyrics. I found lyrics video is more accurate than lyrics on some websites tho..
I think it’s the same everywhere around the world. Generally people don’t really pay attention to lyrics, they just like to enjoy the music and the beat. I remember someone did an analysis of current songs and noted how the intro of songs has over time gotten shorter and shorter, so that were almost immediately into vocals or a hook. The way we listen to music has changed with the our lives having become increasingly fast paced. It feels like people “don’t” have time to really listen and to spend time and give full attention to things like music, and artists are part of this world too, so they end up making music the way that the general public want it. It isn’t that listeners demand it, but that the listening habits can be seen.

I used to be like that too..not caring about the lyrics. Most songs were about money, girls and parties anyway. So as long as the beat is catchy, I would listen.. after a while become bored and move to the next popular song. Then came BTS and I realized they're trying to convey something to us through their music. Their messages are so relatable whether you are 18 or 48. We still feel the same things. That's why I believe their music will be heard even after many years.
It's a good thing BTS doesn't make a song full in english, so international fans like me can look the lyrics so will understand what are they saying. And understand the message they want to delivered

Yes, it's true! Listening to BTS makes you a more positive person. It makes you step back and see all the negative things that are thrown at you by the media, by the world... and gives you a way to deal with them. I think, because Korean is not well known internationally, the international fans tend to focus on the written lyrics. Maybe that's why their popularity spread so fast around the world.
Both RM & Suga have been writing, also poetry, then song/rapwriting/producing since 6th grade/12 yrs old-when they fel, in love with rap & did underground rap alone & w/top groups.. RM-IQ=148, Top 1% of all S.Korean students shocked CEO "hitman Bang" with this shy/booknerd 15 yr old who then turned around & spit quick fire rap flow/intelligent, but hard-hitting wordplay/rhyming in both Korean & (self-taught) English about real life & signed him up ASAP & built the band around him!!😊💜💜
I always relate to what you guys said. Maybe because of our age group 😉 I always pay a lot of attention to lyrics by BTS because I relate to them and look back at my life. They always have a song that suits all my moods. Honestly, after knowing BTS I don't listen to other artists because they keep me comforted with their songs and lyrics.

Love your reactions as always!! I am one of those people who love lyrics - and that is why I was particularly drawn to BTS. Of course, I enjoy music without caring about lyrics, too. But the songs that I hold most dear are usually because of the lyrics. Love that BTS is healing for you both and that you are reflecting on your lives as a result. i really am under alot of presure right know. No one stays by my side even my familiy and my friends that i have known for 5 years betrayed me. I often cried in my room or at night. their wasent anyone their for me. I had alot of silly thoghts at hat time but know since i know BTS i became really strong. i became more confident in my self. Because of BTS i know now that i am not alone i have the biggest and strongest familiy in the world. My world is only made of BTS and Army. Thank you BTS for being their for me. I did the same thing, I decided which song I like based on rhythm, but then I started to pay attention to the lyrics, and it completely changed my point of view. There's a special connection when you read the lyrics, when you understand or try to understand the other's POV.

I'm sorry but I personally feel like the Korea Crush channel is more a tabloid type of channel, they try and use opinions as facts... The most video I watched was about BTS mics and they talked as if they knew why BTS picked the colors of their mic. When we know darn well they didn't ask BTS themselves why they chose them. They also called Jin a pink prince and a mom... and yes I also watched the video you are recommending I didn't think it was good either. 일곱명이 그 좁은 방에서 구겨 자던 그 시절에 비해 어마어마하게 성장해서 아침 저녁으로 국경을 달리하며 입출국을 하는 우주대스타가 되었지만 이렇게 첫마음을 잊지않을 뿐 아니라 그것을 유지하면서 자신들의 음악적 성과도 끌어올리고 있는 모습이 정말...

가끔 주변에서 제가 아미라고 하면 도대체 방탄의 무엇이 좋은지 물어봐요. 그런데 방탄에 대해 아무리 이야기해도 그 사람들은 귀담아 들으려 하지 않아요. 물론 저는 그들을 충분히 이해해요. 저도 방탄 데뷔 때는 이름이 특이하다했고 그동안 알았던 흔한 어린 가수일거라 편견을 가졌었지요. 그러다 작년에 우연히 방탄의 노래를 듣고는 방탄의 노래에 담긴 메세지를 접하고는 정말 충격적이었고 어떻게 이런 아이돌을 다른 아이돌과 동일시 했는지 너무 미안해서 매일 그들에 대해 알아가기에 이르렀네요.
종종 우울증으로 인한 자살의 유혹에서, 또는 질병으로 인한 죽음의 문턱에서 방탄을 통해 새로운 삶을 살아가게 되었다는 글들을 보면 제 자신과 똑같은 경우라 격하게 동감하기도 해요.
그런데 이상한 것은 우리 나라에서는 방탄의 행보가 그리 대단하게 다뤄지지 않는다는 거에요. 전 팝 뮤직을 좋아한 지 40여년이나 되었고 방탄이 얼마나 대단한 아티스트인지 알겠던데 빌보드에서 앨범 순위 1위를 하고 그룹 부문 1위를 하는 등의 위업을 달성했음에도 국내에서 제대로 인정받지 못하는 것이 통탄스럽네요. 이러니 제 주변 사람들은 나이도 어지간히 먹은 데다가 방탄의 행보를 알 길이 없으니 방탄이 왜 대단한지 알 도리가 없지요.
곧 60을 바라보는 노년의 아미이지만 이제는 방탄의 음악이 국외가 아닌 국내에서 더욱 그 가치를 인정받기를 바라는 마음에 댓글을 썼네요.

오~저도 딸이랑 10월 27일 중콘 다녀왔어요^^
그날 넘 감격해서 콘서트 내내 노래 따라부르면서 울었네요. 시력도 나빠서 망원경이랑 안경으로 번갈아보았더니 장면 하나 하나 제 눈에 담지 못했어요. 내년에 콘서트에 또 갈 수 있을지 장담할 수 없어서 너무 마음이 아프네요.

해외 리액션 영상을 처음 보면서 왜? 국내가 아닌 해외인들이 왜? 왜? 도대체 왜? 궁금증이 시작되어 운좋게 처음 접했던 슈가 믹스테잎의 가사에 충격 받아 목놓아 울었던 기억이 납니다.
그때부터 가사에 꼿혀 며칠을 밤새며 방탄 노래를 찾아 오늘날까지 왔어요.
제 인생의 터닝포인트는 방탄소년단이고, 모든 삶이 바뀌었어요.
맞아요. 탄이들은 제게 끊임없이 공부하게 하고, 반성하게 하고, 할 수 있다는 용기와 꿈을 갖게하며 한 사람의 인생을 좌지우지 할 정도로 영향력은 어마어마합니다.
근데 저 또한 편견이 심한 사람이였기에 방탄을 제대로 알고 인정하기까지는 단계가 있는것 같아요. 아미들은 그 단계를 충분히 알고 계시더군요. 그들은 제게도 그랬고, 급하게 먹여주지도 않고 단계별로 차근차근 방탄과 친해지도록 추천하며 알려주시더라구요.

저도 작년까지만 해도, 방탄이 세계적으로 인기라고 할때, 왜 얘네들일까? 하고 의문이 들었던 1인입니다ㅎㅎ 우리나라 그 많은 아이돌 중에, 왜 딱 얘네지? 하는 그런 마음이요.
하지만 이들의 음악에 대해, 음악을 통해 담으려는 메세지에 대해, 또 그들이 지나오고 이겨내온 과정에 대해, 그리고 그들 개개인의 능력과 퍼스널리티, 거기다 서로를, 또 팬들을 진심으로 아끼는 애정어린 마음까지, 알면 알수록, 두 분 말씀처럼 좋아할 수밖에 없는 그룹이더라고요.
마치 내 새끼들처럼(저는 나이가 좀 있는 아미라ㅎㅎ) 웃는 모습을 보면 같이 즐거워지고 세계적으로 인정받는 모습을 보면 내가 다 뿌듯하고, 진짜 빠져버렸어요ㅎㅎ 이들에 대해 모를 수는 있어도 알면서 좋아하지 않기는 어려울 것 같아요. 응원하지 않을 수가 없는 자랑스러운 아이들입니다.
두 분보다 조금 더 일찍 아미가 된 입장에서 감히 말씀드리자면, 그들의 매력은 이제 시작입니다ㅎㅎ 아직 보고 즐기실 것들이 너무 많이 남았어요~~ 다음 컴백 전까지 많이 따라잡으십시다 파이팅!! ^^

So that people will pay attention to them and hopwfully people will listen without prejudice and read their beautiful lyrics. 방탄소년단의 음악은 서로 함께 울고 웃으며 삶의 희노애락을 같이 겪어보자고 하는 음악같아요.. 가르쳐주는 메시지도 분명 있지만 제가 겪어온 경험들은 이랬어요. 그리고 이런 생각도 해봤어요 그러니 우리 노래를 듣고서 어떻게 각자 다들 생각하고 어떤 삶을 살지는 각자 본인들의 선택이라는거죠.. 저는 좀 이렇게 느꼈습니다. 그들이 주는 가르쳐 주는 메세지 또한 분명해서 음악을 듣고 있으면 치유 뿐만 아니라 삶에 대한 생각이 좀 명확해지는 것 같아요.. 막연하게만 느껴졌던 것들이 좀 더 구체화 되고 선명해지고 깨달음을 얻게 만들죠.. 음악으로 소통을 너무나도 잘하고 있는 방탄소년단 멤버들... 그리고 거기에 많은 도움을 주는 조력자 빅히트 식구분들.. 그리고 그들의 이야기를 진심으로 아끼고 사랑하며 잘 들어 줄려고 하는 아미분들.. 이들이 있어 오늘날의 방탄소년단과 빅히트 아미가 만들어진게 아닌가 싶습니다. 왜 세계가 그토록 그들을 집중조명하는지 정말 필연인 것 같아요.. 노력과 실력 진심 스토리텔링 비주얼 충성스런팬덤 음악으로 장사를 하는게 아닌 사람과 그들의 꿈을 키워주려고 하는 회사 모든 것이 정말 성공할 수 밖에 잘 될 수 밖에 없는 필연입니다..끝으로.. 혀니거니님 그리고 구독자분들 행복한 주말 밤 보내시길 바랍니다.

저도 방탄의 가사를 정말 좋아합니다.
처음엔 쩔어라는 곡을 통해 방탄을 좋아하기 시작했죠.
그러다 화양연화의 모든 노래를 접하게 되며 감동을 받았죠.

또한 최근 빌보드에서 가수들의 번들에대해서 언급하며 앞으로 200차트의 집계방식을 봐꾸겠다고도 했는데요, 이때 번들 방식을 사용했던 가수의 실명 리스트도 공개했어요 여기에는 팝송을 잘 모르는 사람도 이름정도는 한번쯤 들어 봤을 만한 가수들이 많이 있었어요 위의 대형 기획사 아이돌 포함이요 이들의 주장은 다른 가수들도 다하는 마케팅의 일환이다라는 거죠

mama시상식에서 '진'이 대상수상 소감으로 부정한 방법도 좋겠지만 정직한 방법 이면 얼마나 좋을까요? 라고 말했는데요 누군가는 잘나가는 아이돌이니까 할 수있는 말이지라고 생할 수 있겠지만 사실 아는사람이 보면 꼼수쓰지 않고 중소회사출신 아이돌이 지금까지 커오기 위해 얼마나 고생했는지 알기에 그들이 전하는 메시지의 따뜻함을 알기에 그 말에 진정성이 느껴지는 거죠

Their lyrics have so much meaning and have so many layers to them that when you listen to a song you may get one meaning that time but the next time you listen you may realize another way it can be interpreted and your mind is blown once again by how brilliant and talented they are. Their music is not just for youth but it transcends all ages. Their message is timeless and universal. That is why so many people can relate to their music. They truly are my favorite artist ever. I have never loved any celebrity or idol like I love BTS. They are a treasure and a gift from the heavens to all of us on this planet.

Someone told me before, "idefc about the lyrics. I just want to enjoy the music."
Something is not right. These artist including other groups only have their music as a platform to tell their stories, pains and thoughts. If you didn't pay attention with their lyrics how you can understand them as human? So many fans didn't full aware with this matter. When something bad happen to their artist, many people start to understand the message and feel regret because too late to catch and understand their stories, pain and thoughts.
Music is a medium for fan to enjoy but it also a platform for the musician to share their stories, pain also thoughts. No need to really understand, just a lilttle bit aware about it.😊
On the contrary, I found many turn off because the lyrics is gross.. I am fine with filler lyrics, just mumbling things.. But many has good rythm but gross lyrics, like 'sex and party' things.. Too bad.. I am happy that Bts put so much effort on the lyrics. I found lyrics video is more accurate than lyrics on some websites tho..
I think it’s the same everywhere around the world. Generally people don’t really pay attention to lyrics, they just like to enjoy the music and the beat. I remember someone did an analysis of current songs and noted how the intro of songs has over time gotten shorter and shorter, so that were almost immediately into vocals or a hook. The way we listen to music has changed with the our lives having become increasingly fast paced. It feels like people “don’t” have time to really listen and to spend time and give full attention to things like music, and artists are part of this world too, so they end up making music the way that the general public want it. It isn’t that listeners demand it, but that the listening habits can be seen.
Their impact is incredible and positive in Arab fans from 22 differents Arab countries , I love them .💜🇸🇦

I used to be like that too..not caring about the lyrics. Most songs were about money, girls and parties anyway. So as long as the beat is catchy, I would listen.. after a while become bored and move to the next popular song. Then came BTS and I realized they're trying to convey something to us through their music. Their messages are so relatable whether you are 18 or 48. We still feel the same things. That's why I believe their music will be heard even after many years.
It's a good thing BTS doesn't make a song full in english, so international fans like me can look the lyrics so will understand what are they saying. And understand the message they want to delivered

I always relate to what you guys said. Maybe because of our age group 😉 I always pay a lot of attention to lyrics by BTS because I relate to them and look back at my life. They always have a song that suits all my moods. Honestly, after knowing BTS I don't listen to other artists because they keep me comforted with their songs and lyrics.

But the songs that I hold most dear are usually because of the lyrics. Love that BTS is healing for you both and that you are reflecting on your lives as a result. i really am under alot of presure right know. No one stays by my side even my familiy and my friends that i have known for 5 years betrayed me. I often cried in my room or at night. their wasent anyone their for me. I had alot of silly thoghts at hat time but know since i know BTS i became really strong. i became more confident in my self. Because of BTS i know now that i am not alone i have the biggest and strongest familiy in the world. My world is only made of BTS and Army. Thank you BTS for being their for me. I will always love Support and Purple BTS for ever.

I did the same thing, I decided which song I like based on rhythm, but then I started to pay attention to the lyrics, and it completely changed my point of view.

처음엔 저도 방탄에 별 감정이 없었어요. 그저 많은 학생들이 좋아하는 유명한 그룹. 정도로만 알고 방탄의 유명한 곡들도 대충 지나가다가 듣던가, 제목을 모르던가 였는데.. 늦게 타 그룹을 탈덕하고 힘들어 할때 방탄에게 너무나 큰 위로를 받았어요.. 그러고 맴버들이 너무도 자랑스러웠는데 아미라고 당당히 말하기가 두렵더라고요.. 저도 어디가서 아미라고 당당히 말하고 싶어요. 좋게는 그렇구나, 나도인데, 등등 응원또는 좋게봐주시는데 나쁘게는 아미는 무개념이야, 아미는 별로야, 기분나빠 등등 더 심한 말들도 있는데 항상 아미는 보라렌즈라는것을 끼고 본다고 생각하고, 항상 아미는 무개념이라고 생각하고.. 도대체 왜 이리 인식이 나빠졌는지 모르겠어요.. 한국을 빛내주는 위인들인데.. 이렇게 항상 한국분, 외국분들의 리액션으로 행복히 지내고 있는데.. 아무리 무시해도 팬이 많은 만큼 안티나, 방탄에 대해 모르면서 루머나 가설들만 믿고 비하하는 사람들이 많아지더라고요.. 그만큼 인식도 안좋아지고.. 그래도 아직 혀니거니님 처럼 방탄을 좋게 봐주시고 응원해주시는 분들이 계셔서 힘내고 덕질 하고 있어요.. 비록 뵌지는 오래되지 않았지만 꼭 흥하셨으면 좋겠고.. 저희 애들 좋게 봐주셔서 감사해요.. ㅠㅠ

I'm sorry but I personally feel like the Korea Crush channel is more a tabloid type of channel, they try and use opinions as facts... The most video I watched was about BTS mics and they talked as if they knew why BTS picked the colors of their mic. When we know darn well they didn't ask BTS themselves why they chose them. They also called Jin a pink prince and a mom... and yes I also watched the video you are recommending I didn't think it was good either. These are my opinions just like everyone has them judge for yourself after thinking about it.
