Roddy should have quoted Tina Turner: You know, every now and then I think you might like to hear something from us Nice and easy but there's just one thing You see, we never ever do nothing nice and easy We always do it nice and rough So we're going to take the beginning of this song And do it easy Then we're going to do the finish rough This is the way we do 'Jump'
Just one interesting fact: this is not a cover, just a diferent version of the song, the record company give the same song to two diferent groups at the same time.
@@jonstern7511 It's not a cover, just two differents versions of the same song, made almost at the same time in two differents continents by two differents bands working for the same Record Label, and any of the bands hear before the other version.
@@doomsdaycun_lmh9341 Nonesense. It's a Van Halen song. Written by them and covered by Roddy after he saw them live and went home and worked out the music
@@jonstern7511 Back in the 80´s some radio host said that this song where given for both bands at the same time by the record label, very common practice at the time, and I believe it because the 2 albums, 1984 and Knife, was released in the same year. But searching about it, you are right and the announcer just make up this. Thanks for the info, I´m thinking in delete my comment but in other hand maybe for some others see this helps them to research more and don´t believe many things the media and magazines told us about our favorite musicians and songs. Thanks again
Intriguing throughout. MacGregor & Scargill get a mention here, definitely not a firm of solicitors/attorneys but a sorry tale from 1984,almost a ghost story but not quite.
Thanks for bringing me back here, fourth day of the year 2021. Now,my comment seems opaque. It is a beautiful video/version & I was struck by Roddy Frame's mention of the Miner's Strike of 1984 in Britain, more particularly the two who 'faced off' . I wondered who else might know/recall those times, all these years on.
@@deeayo6054 Thank you! Miner's Strike of 1984 in Britain - didn't know about that. I'm over in USA - and I was young / stupid then. I should have googled - but I was lazy and asked you - and you explained. I appreciate that! Thanks again!
Still have the 12" of this in the basement. Love Aztec Camera.
Same here 👍👍
I love this version is very amazing.
This is the best version, by anyone, of Jump. (Though the ending reminded me of Lou Reed's Heroin - which is a good thing)
Sweet Jane for me but totally Lou Reed tribute
Thank you. Had not heard this cover for a long long long time, since in my 20s
I remember when Aztec camera sing jump at the Chicago Metro it was an amazing show
There’s a lot of humour and talent in this cover. To make VHs boring song to this fantastic tune is amazing.
he is amazing !

Nice and easy but there's just one thing

And do it easy
Then we're going to do the finish rough

the first part of the song reminds me of lou reed and the velvet underground
Amazing!
Oh Valérie, tes cheveux mouillés de l'Atlantique, comme de l'or liquide, tes yeux, gris-vert comme la mer, pleins de vie ..
Super awesome cover version of this song that totally sucked up until now.
Totally sucked?!
Just wonderful - Roddy creating gold from lead.
I don't agree. It shows what a brilliant song the original was.
I enjoyed this more than the crowd
とてもジャンプしていないところが大好きです。
Super chingón
Great!!!!

over Loaded...

That guitar solo! Eddie eat your heart out.
GREAT VIDEO.
wonder if Dave heard?
まったりジャンプ🤗

@@doomsdaycun_lmh9341 you're welcome! 🙏
oh boy
Like something Mark Kozelek might attempt, except this is 10x better
This is like an early tribute to EVH. RIP Eddie Van Halen
😂 no way
Muito bom
Roddy is just great
Why wasn't he massive? One of the greatest songwriters this country has ever produced.
Please Roddy. stop smoking.....thx
Roddy Frame. Smokin' and singin'. If it isn't Scottish, it's crap!
Ha, forgot he used to smoke
Because he was a bad rocker boy.
