This is by far a great performance from a great musician. Watching this at the festival was the BEST experience ever. Love the way he performs and gets lost in the music. All I can say to anybody slagging this off is, you need a serious reality check and I also wonder why you are watching this, losers! LONG LIVE TOM, the man is a musical genious. Love him. xxxxxx
ignore the arsehole i was there, i'd waited 35 years to see the band live, something had always got in the way and prevented me getting to hear them live. it took us two days to get to IOW, two to get home, we had to suffer some real shite music and personal physical discomfort due to my MS over the 7 day trip, i stood down the front for 3hrs just to get close, i still haven't recovered, u know what ? it was fucking worth it, the band was brilliant best live band i've ever seen, amazing.
don't lower yourself to even reply to him. Tom Petty is incredible. He hasn't got the greatest voice in the world but there is something mysterious about it which makes it very special. and this is the best song ever. Why anyone would post a comment when they don't like him is beyond me. go back to your justin bieber search if you don't appreciate this true legend !!
when i say shite music i mean example, tiny fuckin tantrum etc etc, we had to be there for 3 days cause springsteen on the sunday, been a fan since i was 13 and bought WI&Est shuffle. left after 90mins, seen him live before and he is a vegas cabaret act now, plus his new stuff is shit, i've been singing petty stuff in bands since 1977 and his voice was flawless on the night, so were the band, plus the crowd singing on this made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. a night i'll never forget
i thought this sounded great i wasnt there but tom petty sounded brillient, didnt notice he was drunk or high he was just enjoying himself and getting lost in the music. i my self always act like that when watching gigs because i find it the most amazing feeling not because im pissed out of my head. if he was pissed he would be makin mistakes and i spoted none, and the crowd seem to be having a great time. isnt that the whole point in going to concerts?? drunk or not if the crowd enjoying thems

Oh so sad - go straight to 3:20 and watch as the Mr. Blotto can't even wave his arms in sync and the final cupping his hands was just embarrassing - 3:53 he's still at it - they have to pan away. Keeps on through 4:30. What a shame - how low can you get.
