- Pershing yachts have always been very close to my heart; not just for their sleek and sporty design but also for the part they played in my formative years in the yachting industry.
The announcement that they have launched their largest ever vessel, the Pershing 140’, really grabbed the attention of the yachting world and they have not failed to impress. Not only is this a very beautiful yacht, but it also has some clever design features that shall bring added pleasure to the owner’s experience on board.

Pershings are some of my favorite yachts, they and Azimut have some of the best looking and most modern looking designs.

This is the best implementation of a bow-to-superstructure I've seen on the market thus far. Azimut and Sunseeker both look quite clunky and top heavy, IMHO. Anyway, thanks to you for posting and congrats to whoever ends up making a purchase!

Recently got into watching these yacht videos when a couple popped up into my feed. Totally hooked. I love drawing stuff and love the designs of these incredible machines.
This yacht does offer some unique surprises. For anyone who appreciates a Beach Club... this must be a dream. I can neither imagine the complications of incorporating such accommodations, nor the cost(s)! Impressive. Thanks for the video.

Although not really a fan of the Pershing "style", probably due to my age lol, I am intrigued with this new design, specifically the aft deck and garage section. Nice to see designers looking at new concepts!!

David; Hope this is helpful; the Auto designer that set the pace for GM car design from the mid thirties to the '60s, Harley Earl, called that "clever bit of design on the bow" a "waterfall" feature. He pulled that element out of the radiator grilles of the '30s period ; many long vertical lines that gave a visual flow to the bright work. Nice nod to a great American designer! Oh, wonder ful job on it- want to see what you can see of the next one!

PERSHING YACHT PORN! I'm watched this drooling like I was 14 yrs old again looking at Playboy! If I could afford it it would be the only thing I lived on because I'd hate to have the headaches of owning too much stuff. Materialist/ minimalist..? I figure, I'm happy parking two cars in my garage WHILE NOT renting a storage unit!

Their is something about pershings exterior design i actually dont like! The flying buttrus structure that comes over the sidewalks makes the yacht look fat when looking down the sides of the vessel! And for me the grey hull just does not look elegant! They seem to try and give a yacht a sports car look but for me yachting is about cruising and taking in the ocean and all its power and majesty! Speed is great if you are in a hurry but who wants to be in a hurry on the ocean! I understand some people appreciate this design but its not for me! It would be a boring life if everyone had the same taste! What they have done with the elevated aft section is very special but im just not sure about the elevated bow and main deck to do so! I guess im just a traditionalist who loves the ocean dearly and just cant understand the rush while on it!! Great vid as always David looking forward to videos on smaller vessels still!😉

I'm divided on the styling, some of it is stunning where as I find some of the side profile lines make it look a little busy. Love the bow though, which surprised me as I didn't think I would from the thumbnail.
As a disclaimer, I cannot afford any part of this yacht so really my opinion doesn't count.

General Motors used that grill on several different car lines and models. It is called the "Waterfall Grill" - rather appropriate. (obviously the designer is a bit of a style history nerd) - Beautiful Vessel...
David I’d like to talk to you about this yacht and others for eventually selecting. How to contact you?
I think this would be a good candidate for a turbine option. I don't know what the options are for fuel storage and if jet drive is available but it seems to me that instead of 4 diesels lets do 2 4000 series and 1 turbine. Maybe she would do 50 knots then. I can see myself island hopping the Caribbean at 50 knots while in my 140 foot long home away from home. Oh yeah that would work.

If I ever becomes a man of means, I'll take the beach club from Wider 165 and the beach club from Pershing 140 and just weld them together into a boat.
That way, my enemies on the high seas won´t know if I´m coming or going.

It is the first derivation coined by Sir Humphrey Davy from the original Latin 'Alumina' Have a gander at our Periodical Table and you will find this to be so. Beautiful yachts but that silver paint is seriously high maintenance as it ages. I seen some dreadful paint blistering on older GRP hull examples.

I'm not sure about that rear architecture. It seems to create 3 isolated areas, neither of which has a clear use. Almost as an unfriendly moat, keeping people out of the castle. In parties some people might like to circle to isolated areas but for the real estate cost of luxury yachts that seems a low bar. Party at the tender garage... I think not.
And come to think of it, aren't those steps up to the second deck weirdly tall? and inaccessible. What is this design...

Always been a fan of Pershings for many years but this one is lack of speed.
The 88 was much better looking than this 140. Why did they chop the bow off? And 24 knots - that's not a Pershing in the first place. The 115 was the longest possible model for my taste of something being rightfully called a Pershing , but even it has waterjets, so no rooster tail. In the end the 105 is the longest Pershing model for me, because when I hear the word Pershing the first thing that comes into my mind is a rooster tail and 40+ knots. No rooster tail no fun. Bu if I had the money, I'd buy a white 65 built in the 2000'. Now that's a real beauty.

I somewhat agree-although the right(expensive) white shirts are always safe; I'm not sure Davids jeans are good for him. With the clientele he is entertaining, imo a fashion expert is key.
