I like the tubes, I like the swivel but the numbers get insane if you want to try to buy around 16 of them. I'm pretty hyped about the Pin Spot adapters though! (prob will just buy a few though cause I'm sure if I tried to buy too many the result will be the same as the others😂)
So the magnet swivel thing.. you don't need to bring a truss or anything but where are you supposed to stick the magnitude? You say just stick it somewhere in the room. I have never really been in a room that has metal walls or corners or really anything to stick a magnet to. I guess if you are doing a show and somebody's kitchen maybe the refrigerator? So, what's the deal? What are you supposed to stick it to unless you are working in a place that actually does have a trust or other gear that is metal and probably high up or something? Don't know what I'm missing here. Otherwise they look really powerful and dope!
Interesting comment. You’d be surprised how much steel is around you in any particular room. Drop ceilings, decorations etc however sure, there are rooms that may not have ideal locations already there. In that case you can purchase steel plates and use contact hangers if there wasn’t anyplace to put them. We always seem to find a good spot but that’s us - if you can’t that’s where your creativity comes in and it certainly could be possible that it’s not a fit for your particular needs. Has nothing to do w “Missing anything” :-)

do you not find that people knock them over a lot?
We find that having any equipment around people is a potential liability - but w these in general may be slightly more enticing.

Would (12) 2.0 cans give you more light and flexibility compared to (6) 2.0 maxis? They seem to be close to the same price
can you master and slave the ape cans?
