@@hayleymullins7297thank you. Yes, a truly great man. He had Parkinson’s and dementia and was in a Care home since August. A blessing really but it still hurts. 😢

Your words ‘always stop on a good note’ have been ingrained - even when sometimes it feels Impossible - many thanks Charlie.

My bf and I just got a bird dog, and these videos have been so great to watch together with Stevie. She and I now demand Waffle videos by name.

I’m not normally one for commenting on videos but I just need to commend you for showing the ‘bad’ bits as well as the good! Too many Gundog trainers only show either a fully trained adult dog (which they’re still cutting out bits) or they’re heavily editing the footage to look better. I automatically trust you more as a trainer because i know that this is real. I was having a bit of a meltdown about my one year old cocker and this has reminded me that the perfect dogs you see elsewhere are indeed not perfect. Thank you for these amazing videos!

I love how happy go lucky Waffle is, never stops wagging his tail. Really appreciate how you show with him not all training is easy and flawless. Our nine month old dog does well training alone with me, but as soon as there are distractions (birds mostly or her big brother) she has trouble concentrating. This video is a good reminder to be patient and repeat, repeat, repeat.. and repeat 😊.

Great video as it showed how it isn't always easy straight away even with a trainer's dog and there was lots for us amateurs to pick up from your handling. As I am the other end of the country it is impractical to have lessons with you in person but these videos are always helpful and a cut above other training videos I have found. I have a two year old lab who is getting there.......... slowly.

Le Chameau aren’t a patch on what they used to be. Bought a pair 25 years ago, lasted nearly 20 years, replaced with same model twice, replacements lasted less than 2 years.

The rule of 100 states that if you spend 100 hours a year, which is 18 minutes a day - in any discipline, you'll be better than 95% of the world, in that discipline. That's the rule, but being better than 95% of people in the world does not mean you are in the top 2% of dog trainers I guess. Great to see Waffle again.

I’ve been following your advice with my 2 year old cocker. It’s going great. Some of your advice on another video is to practice heel inside, once they can do that then do it pavement then finally on to grass. Just wondering what is the deal with Waffle if he seems interested in sniffing the grass, wouldn’t you go back to practice heel on pavement again?
