It's been a while since I've played it, but there were a lot of parts that didn't suit me now and left a lot of questions unanswered, that's all.
Town is so hard to rate, isn't it?
Personally, the ending was so great that it became my favorite game at that point.
The "one and only" is too perfect for a game like Machi, and the making of the ending is something that only a live-action game can do, so I was really moved by it.
To be honest, the scenario itself wasn't as good as I'd like it to be.
I liked the Ushiba and Nanayokai routes (I also liked the Tobisawa route, which was like a man's dream), but the Ichikawa route really left me wondering who would enjoy this...
Also, the volume of the game was too much, and I was a bit annoyed that the zapping system didn't allow the story of the route I liked to progress very far.
But I didn't think my opinion would change so much just because of the ending.
I thought "All's well that ends well"! I thought to myself...
However, I played the special PSP version, and I'd heard a lot about it being a god game, so I wondered why it was rated so highly.
It's a good game, but I think the most appropriate evaluation is that it's very selective.
I love sound novels, and I could go on and on about the town if I were to tie it in with 428, but I think that would be annoying, so I'll just stop here.
By the way, regarding other sound novels, I think that the reason why Otomekirigusa is highly regarded is because of the innovation of the sound novel genre at the time, rather than Otomekirigusa itself, so I don't think there's much point in doing it now.
The innovation of the game influenced many game developers, but if you evaluate it without that kind of innovation, I think it's hard to say it's a good game even for its time...
It's a game with a lot of good points, and if you like games with that kind of atmosphere, I think it's a good game to try.
On the other hand, Kamaitachi is really a milestone in the sound novel genre, and I think it's a big shame that I haven't tried it.
Especially if you're an OTA who calls himself a 90s gamer.
I think it's now on a level where I can say it's my duty (seriously).
I like the Kamaitachi series, and I've played them all from the first game to the last, but only the first game can be said to be at the obligatory level, and the rest I can just play if I like them.
By the way, the first game is available on SFC, PS, and smartphones, but if you want to play it, the PS version is the best.
I think it's best to buy the archives on PS3 or Vita and play it.
I've lifted it up a lot, but rather than being a game that you can get stuck into, I think it's a masterpiece that everyone can enjoy in a rather light-hearted way, so really feel free to give it a try!
