To be fair that pic of the Xt on a flatbed trailer wasn't smashed up in the front end - which would be more believable. The brake issue was a very small limited number. Now the steering assist error or rather the thermostat and sensor error is a big problem that will cost you 4hr shop labor and maybe a couple hundred in parts if you're not a handyman.. However, this is not limited just to the Cadillac but other GM cars. It is still a great vehicle as long as you don't abuse it.

I have a 2017 Cadillac XT5 and it now has 70,505 miles. I’ve had no problems. Recently changed out the old battery for a new one and another set of oem tires. Are all XT5 units bad in some ways

To be fair, It does have its issues but so do a lot of other makes and models. Not everyone gets these problems but like most cars these days. It's a crap-shoot. You have to remember most parts are built by other companies on contracts. Just be smart and get a warranty - NO MATTER WHAT YOU BUY if you are buying used. Not all Jap vehicles are problem free, or cheap to fix.
