Best review of the case. I believe this is the only reviewer talking about the lip of the case resting on certain parts of the screen. I subbed for the attention to details. Good job, ma'am.
Wish the magnets were alot stronger. Hope they forget about the acrylic back design and put more and stronger magnets. The shift case magnets are decent but could have more strength for their magnets.
Which one between this and the ESR SHIFT CASE offer the best protection to the device ? I’m only interested in the protection provided to the device. So which one do you advise me for the best protection ?
Good question. First of all, neither case is drop rated, but I do think both will provide decent bump and scratch protection for your iPad Pro. The SHIFT feels more heavy duty (and is also heavier overall), but it lacks a strap to keep the front cover closed. So in the event of a fall, the front cover probably won't stay closed, rendering less protection for your screen. The Rebound Hybrid feels less heavy duty, but it does benefit from its magnetic strap keeping the folio cover closed. So perhaps it would fare better in some falls than the SHIFT. The inner cases of both case types are similar in the amount of protection they provide your iPad Pro. There are other iPad Pro cases on the market which are drop rated. If drop protection is your primary objective, you might want to consider the ZAGG Crystal Palace Folio...it is rated for a 6.5 ft drop: ua-cam.com/video/MZJ91JShRIY/v-deo.html Hope this helps!
I've got the ESR stand with keyboard, wonder if the magnetic case that comes with that would work with this. Be nice to just move from case to case based on what I need.
Hi Tony! Sadly, there is no mix and match compatibility with any of ESR's cases and keyboard cases, as far as I've been able to tell. Disappointing! But I think it has to do with the positioning of the magnets that is required for the cases to perform the various tasks they are designed for...
@tonycicerone it is super frustrating. Whenever I’ve received a new ESR iPad Pro accessory, I’ve tried to see if it has any compatibility with my other ESR accessories, and so far I have found zero compatible accessories.😢
No idea...I'm guessing it would depend upon the kind of sleeve? I don't have any Apple Pencil Pro sleeves, so I haven't tried that. Sorry to be less than helpful!!
Oooh I'm also interested to know. I own the rebound keyboard 360 case for my M1 iPad air but I want to interchange the outer cover when I don't need the keyboard. Is the inner case of this compatible with the Rebound 360 keyboard case or is the keyboard inner case compatible with this outer folio cover?
Sadly, no. So far, I haven't found a single inner case that is compatible with an 'outer case' that it didn't come with originally. Between the 2022 iPad Pro 11 inch and the new 2024 M4 iPad Pro, I have 6 ESR iPad cases and none of them has parts that are usable with any other case. At first I was irritated, but once you start thinking about it, it does kind of make sense. For example, the Rebound Hybrid 360 inner case has magnets that are positioned to allow it to stick to the outer case in portrait and landscape, but because it is a clear case, there can’t be any magnets in the middle. And the Shift case has to have the special magnets to allow it to get into that elevated landscape as well as regular landscape and portrait. And the Rebound 360 inner case has to be able to have the lower part of the inner case separate nicely from the outer case when the cantilever stand is pushed back. That’s just my guess as to why they are all incompatible, though.
Opportunity missed by ESR. I would love to switch easily between a simple folio and keyboard case easily as I don’t always want to carry it in a heavy keyboard case at all times. Especially releasing a few different types of cases with the same rebound 360 name series.
@kunfushun I totally get it! I have a bunch of ESR cases and I feel exactly the same…it would be so great to mix and match. I can’t imagine ESR is unaware of this…I think there must be technical issues affecting this.

Thank you!!! Really appreciate your kind comments. And thanks for the sub!!

Yeah...I'm not a fan of clear cases in general. Too many tradeoffs! And I wish the magnets were stronger too...
Super case again from ESR great content as always, have a fantastic weekend ☺️
Thanks, Mary! You too!! 🌞

Can you use it without the case like directly attach the iPad to the outside case ?
Unfortunately, no. This will only work if you have the iPad Pro in the inner case...

@@TheTechReviewerthanks for the info! That’s what I’ve heard on another video as well. Such a missed opportunity!

the cover completely hides fingerprint reader making it difficult to use..can you help??
Sorry, which iPad version are you on? I'm only familiar with this case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11 inch...
Does Apple Pencil charge with sleeve on pencil ?
No idea...I'm guessing it would depend upon the kind of sleeve? I don't have any Apple Pencil Pro sleeves, so I haven't tried that. Sorry to be less than helpful!!
Will the case from here be compatible with the esr rebound keyboard?
