Wow, I've always thought that when the elders say "cave people" they only meant "mountain village people" but using "cave people" as an underhanded phrase..... We were literally cave people. Respect.
There was a cataclysmic event when the earths magnetic poles "jumped", it exposes us to radiation from the sun, that's why people moved into caves, to seek shelter, we were never really cave people just like these people probably spend the day outside, not in the cave. For ancient humans it was probably the other way around, they could only leave the cave at night.
@@Polymerata There's still plenty of mysteries. They are just now finding remains of huge civilizations in the rain forests and finally admitting ancient cilizations are a lot older than what the ignorant history books report. For example there are some accurate ancient maps of the globe but they are only accurate if you match them to the time they were drawn. Lots of ridiculous claims such as the pyramids were built just 2000 years ago never made any sense whatsoever and are finally being rejected and explored.
@@Polymerata Yeah we're starting to unravel things like civilizations in the Amazonas rainforests now. 2018 they found mega structures thanks to satellite scans. Whenever technology makes us able to provide proof of alternate theories about some ancient civilizations which make much more sense than the history books, we will find ourselfs drowning in new discoveries. For example once drone/remote control robot technology moves further, we can just smuggle a camera into ancient sites that have obvious underground structures which have been blocked off and never officially been investigated. Here's an article from 2018 about the Amazonas discovery: Analysis of satellite images and drone footage has revealed an extensive, pre-Colombian settlement dating back to 1250‒1500 A.D. At their height, as many as one million people may have lived in these settlements, according to the study published Tuesday in the journal Nature Communications. “Many parts of the Americas now thought of as pristine forest are really abandoned gardens,” Christopher Fisher, a Colorado State University archaeologist who was not associated with the study, told the Wall Street Journal. “When you are on the ground, you cannot really see the landscape. You need a bird’s-eye view.” The last part is kind of cringey because a lot of the "discoveries" we made recently and will make in the future which we "cannot really see" have year old youtube videos about them so in reality the ignorance has other causes. There are countless ancient mega structures that archeologists and history books pretend were created by nature.
I think it is quite magical that they live in houses in a cave. Very mystical. That place is quite unique, with some development and infrastructure (new roads, update the housing), it could easily become a tourist attraction. And they could benefit from getting advice from agricultural experts, maybe explore more sustainable farming methods, some aquaculture. Open a cute, decent-size, well-designed farm-to-fork restaurant. With some marketing, it could be a success.
It looks tough, hard and depressing but at the same time, peaceful, authentic, stress free. Stress from things we are used to dealing with, finding food, not new stress- rent, job, etc

There are people who want to live simply and independently, but being born in a time and place where we need job, rent, check our documents, check the news for covid, what new bs is government want from us to do. Chairman Deng threw Mao’s ideology out the window. China is in many ways more capitalist than The West. That’s why China is the world’s biggest polluter. Party bosses and corrupt CEO’s rule China. I was with the Zapotec people in 1982 in south Mexico. They lived in adobe houses and no electricity or plumbing, but they I think were by far better off than in Mexico City. Nutrition wasn't all that great as they didn't grow vegetables, just corn and beans, but with a little help and not tons of chemical fertilizers they could have done great. I saw a video and it's depressing now to see a very big town there with sprawling growth. I still think the people at Zhongdong are better off in their amazing village close to nature and fresh air. The government could send medical aid and give them nutrition supplements and help them develop better agriculture that is not back-breaking labor and aid their building projects, let them live where they have grown.

In China, they are known as Miao. In Vietnam, Laos, Mynamar, Thailand, here in the United States, and elsewhere we are called Hmong. When people around the world play slot machines in casinos, they might even be playing on machines that use my brother's patents. One of my sisters graduated from Harvard University. Although we come from modest roots and although there are those that may look down upon us, keep your heads held high. We are Hmong. We are Miao. We can achieve what others did not believe was even possible.

I really hope you can move to Europe or US, living in it, it will really help you to understand. It was great, it was like paradise back in 90s, even unemployed people receive social house like a villa, but these days are long gone, and people don't even talk about future anymore like phobia. Exactly ! And most importantly, they would have taken to opportunity to move away as soon as they could have ! But they choose to stay. I know they have hardships, but they also have a certain quality of life, otherwise they wouldn’t prefer staying where they are
why force people out of villages? it's more loss of old culture and traditions
Dog alpha the government isn’t
Dog alpha That isn’t really old culture but ok
They were probably forced into those caves by Mao
Nothing to see here hur dur! when was Mao born and when does it say these people moved into that cave
Nothing to see here so you call me an idiot and say I haven’t done any research then in a paragraph that contradicts itself “there has been definite answer for when the village was built because of how less information online” go on to say that the village was built before the communist revolution yet the villagers say they built it in 1949 why would they lie they won’t move because of inadequate alternative housing the government is offering so you can fuck off you pleb
The thought of living so isolated seems incredibly scary ... so I can imagine what it would feel like to do it in reverse.
I couldn't imagine having the choice of a hard life in a cave or a hard life in a village with next to no skills. I feel dreadfully sorry for these people, it's tough.
Only difference is, skills can be nurtured, and while getting used to a cave lifestyle in a fully naturalistic environment grows on you, one can't run from the fact that it's unhealthy to live tribal and cut off from the world like that. And that takes a toll on anyone mentally, especially while comprehending that there are available alternatives. This is I'm sure it's complicated but to me it sounds like there's anxiety more than anything, they wouldn't move in because of the way the houses were built, yeah right.. how minimalist of you

@@アマ-p2l you just debunk my childhood mystery
@@Polymerata There's still plenty of mysteries. They are just now finding remains of huge civilizations in the rain forests and finally admitting ancient cilizations are a lot older than what the ignorant history books report. For example there are some accurate ancient maps of the globe but they are only accurate if you match them to the time they were drawn. Lots of ridiculous claims such as the pyramids were built just 2000 years ago never made any sense whatsoever and are finally being rejected and explored.
@@アマ-p2l the Amazon?
@@Polymerata Yeah we're starting to unravel things like civilizations in the Amazonas rainforests now. 2018 they found mega structures thanks to satellite scans. Whenever technology makes us able to provide proof of alternate theories about some ancient civilizations which make much more sense than the history books, we will find ourselfs drowning in new discoveries. For example once drone/remote control robot technology moves further, we can just smuggle a camera into ancient sites that have obvious underground structures which have been blocked off and never officially been investigated.
Here's an article from 2018 about the Amazonas discovery:
Analysis of satellite images and drone footage has revealed an extensive, pre-Colombian settlement dating back to 1250‒1500 A.D.
You need a bird’s-eye view.”
The last part is kind of cringey because a lot of the "discoveries" we made recently and will make in the future which we "cannot really see" have year old youtube videos about them so in reality the ignorance has other causes. There are countless ancient mega structures that archeologists and history books pretend were created by nature.
I think it is quite magical that they live in houses in a cave. Very mystical. That place is quite unique, with some development and infrastructure (new roads, update the housing), it could easily become a tourist attraction. China is a beatiful country.
DARK ENERGY it’s a beautiful country being destroyed by the CCP.
Nathan Denault how is it being destroyed?
Lawrence Wong If you call destroying over 5,000 years of culture in just half a decade good leadership, I don’t know how to help you. What’s left of actual Chinese culture now that the CCP has had its way with things? The Chinese wear Western clothing, shake hands as a greeting instead of bowing, govern themselves with and ideology invented by a German, their marching style is copied off of the Prussian Stechschritt, their military uniforms are based off of the USSR, all of their modernized buildings are built in western fashion, and they don’t even follow their great leader Mao Zedong’s teachings anymore. Chairman Deng threw Mao’s ideology out the window. China is in many ways more capitalist than The West. That’s why China is the world’s biggest polluter. Party bosses and corrupt CEO’s rule China. All of China’s previous emperors are spinning in their graves. Chairman Mao probably would be too. However in his case, he would be rolling in a glass box.

Nathan Denault A country of 5000 years that never seen a united country or its countrymen.A country that was plagued by invaders, diseases and corruption.A country of 5000 years has seen its best years under the CCP.This is a know fact.So basically you want Chinese people go back to traditional clothing and other things. Are you not aware that females never seen any type of rights in 5000 years until Mao changed that?Theirs many countries that copied each other and this isn’t a new concept. The Europeans copied China’s concept of warfare.Nazi scientists used Ancient Chinese methods of rockets to create the V1/V2 rockets.Yes Chinese leaders still bow and do traditional things but the progress of China is unprecedented than any country of the 21 century.Lifting more people of of poverty than the Europeans could even handle of their own.
