I love Charles Starrett. What a class act. Durango wasn't a "wing'em shooter". Dixie (Helen Mowery)sure was a sweet lookin' gal. From what I could find, Helen's still with us. She's just two years younger than my mom who is 97. God bless her.

I like the Durango Kid movies 'cause he is a fighting man both as Steve Something as the Durango Kid. I think they coulda made more films with Tex Harding, though. Smiley Burnette added the comic relief people used to like way back then.
This would have made a good old John Wayne Movie. 😁
Playing one of the baddies & doubling Durango is ace stuntman/actor Jock Mahoney.
Film quality excellent. Only one long black spot.

Hank Newman used to own a restaurant in Gahanna Ohio. I was under 9years old and used to sit on his knee. He was a sweetheart.

These movies were meant for early afternoon popcorn eating munchkins. It's just that adults fell in love with them too.
I think the bartender threw the wrong bottle. That one bounced off his head like a real bottle would.

I love the Durango kid movie's🎥 but they where lousy shots. Roy Roger was a better shot Gene Autry was a better shot the LoneRanger was a better shot. Thanks for the upload🤠🤠👍👍

Good Grief, another episode brutally destroyed by the 10 rate acting "inabilities" of Smiley "Worthless" Burnette.
You know nothing...smiley wrote most of the music on gene autry, Roy rodgers, to name a few...plus his great side kick participation...you obviously are a millennial type, left thinker with no idea of what acting is...you like the modern blue screen lazy nobodies...if you don't like something..don't watch or write...your genre is the worst our country has ever gone thru. Without your phone you are nothing...

You complain about movies more than a half century old but neglect to see fault in current block buster movies like batman, avengers, etc that have zero reality or even a story line that makes sense. 70+ years of cinema advancement and the under 30 age group prefers grown adults playing cartoon characters instead of something more mature that requires thought processes greater than that of a 3rd grader.
