Always loved this game as a kid. Still do
Here in Italy this game has had a crazy success, it is still in the arcade.
Which arcade?
man my fav racer growing up, used to play this after mall closed and would play with my boss till anytime we liked since I worked in the mall, we would play with the security guard till like 1am lol going thru many quarters
Todd & Rob once again you saved the weekend!
I was totally addicted to this game when I was a kid
One of the best Atari games EVER!!!
Atari makes the best games! One thing about Super-Sprint that I always loved was the Music! Each break between races was another excellent tune that would fade out too soon for me! I wish I knew who did the Music for their games.
Thanks for the video Todd!!
Loved the music also 🎶👍🏻
i want a tshirt but i wish there was more than just the small front graphic. please make a version with a big printed logo also on the back. thanks, u make great videos!
My dad did the cabinet art/graphics for SS. Also the digital graphic from the intro (the one you throw up at @ 0:21 on the bottom left) is his too.
Neat!!! Thanks for sharing...I am guessing he is thrilled that the game has returned into the classic arcades all around the world!
@@tntamusements - haha. Not really. He's actually passed now but he never got nearly as excited as I do about his work for Atari. He was older than most people at work and is/was considered a 'fine artist.' Race cars and space ships were child's play to him. I feel like he thought it was below him. xDDD But I think it's awesome. When I was young I got a huge kick out of seeing my dad's work in arcades all over the world. And because of people like you I'm reliving it and getting huge kicks from it again. Thanks for keeping it alive.
Glad we can help you with good memories!!
Todd, I really like your videos and I am watching your videos since years. Very amazing and interesting to watch the soul of our Pinball machnines developing and merging the feel of the "mechanical" oldschool parts and layout and 8 bit world with the features and technology of modern CPUs and your customized parts.
Many regards, love and hugs from Germany to the whole Tuckey family and team! :-) Best wishes, Andreas
Thank you very much for your email Sean and taking the time to mention how the games have changed over the years. They certainly have, and I love the glimpses we have of great ideas, even in the simplest earliest electronics, and how the designers kept coming out with new concepts like you pointed out!
Wow, I would love to have that machine in my hands!
Todd, hopefully you will be able to film that film festival this year -- last year you said some creep asked you not to film! I really enjoyed those movies you made in the past. Please try to film and document the event if you attend this year!
I've discovered your UA-cam channel a couple of months ago. And have enjoyed everyone of them. Keep up the good work!
Hi Andrew and glad to have you aboard! Hope you subscribed too and keep commenting!
Dude , just want to say thanks for all your info. Helps with my video game book.
What awesome people. Now this is my perception of the American dream.... new subscriber...... I love it....
Thank you...glad you subscribed!
I was surprised y'all didn't put a flatscreen in that game, liked video
the picture would then be skinnier...and not the original ratio!
super sprint was always one of my favorites back in the late eighties.
Games like this are meant for a cocktail cabinet. I played one as a kid in a cocktail table, think it was Super off road, but I can't find any pictures of Super off road in a cocktail table.
Cinematronics did make some cocktail games...this one was an oddball...a Baseball game in an odd cocktail cabinet...watch! ua-cam.com/video/ammy4PUf8tw/v-deo.html
@@tntamusements hey guys, why does the blue car have a green control panel under the steering wheel?
Morning coffee and TNT.
That super sprint has beautiful sound. The venerable 6502 processor. It's amazing how elegant assembly language is for that chip.
Lastly - humanity is lucky Eddie Murphy decided not to try and be a fulltime musician.
By the way, listen through Tammy's new stuff. Not my taste normally, but it really is great. Well done.
love the energy of tnt and the dedication to the craft. Hope to see y'inz at ReplayFX IN Pittsburgh at the end of July!
Thanks! Cannot make that show...committed to just two this year--Allentown and Connecticut
Tod what gives with all thumbs down lately seems more and more are starting to appear more. Often now tod don't understand why videos are great enjoyable....ps can you ever finish the video ware you have to ask your wife for permission to bring that old 35 year old dusty driving game you have been holding on to so we can watch and enjoy seeing her response about bringing that old dusty game to her home thanks
As my viewers increase, the haters do too! But the ratio is low and I still get "credit" for them because they clicked on the video!
I have the euro/Italian version of super sprint which is factory fitted with a 25” wells Gardner from Atari Ireland. It has the smaller bezel to compensate with the resized artwork.
And BOOM goes the dynamite! 😂
LOL the fridge bit reminds of a star trek episode LOL
It was the wife's idea...she came up with it when I was trying to motivate her to sppear in this episode.
I see.
Nice! My friends and I played Super Sprint like crazy back in 1987. Did they make a 4 player? That's what I remember, but maybe that was Gauntlet..
Never a 4 player...but Bally made Demo Derby ina cocktail 4 player that people want now (they didn't a bunch of years ago, and they got junked). Many SUper Sprint games were junked because the top monitor cabinet broke off and snapped the neck of the picture tube...off to the dump it went!
my brother and I used to play this in the arcade back in the day and then on the nes.
Glad it brought back memories!
TNT Amusements Inc with the way our 76ers are playing you better get some NBA games ready ...... GO SIXERS ... : )
Super Sprint still rips. Just a ton of fun.
Excellent upgrade Todd!!!
What was the arcade game with this similar design but you could buy weapons and shoot each other.
I’m about to purchase this game locally here
“Where’s the latch that holds your mouth shut” Good one Frank
Hes so horrible to me?
A nice black polo shirt with a appropriate sized logo, like the FM radio stations have, would be awesome and worth the bucks! Ok maybe 10 people would buy.......
That's a future idea...but we are just going to stay with the t's for now...they are also our workers shirts that I provide too!
Great video. Need some advice. I want to buy a super sprint steering wheel from EBay for 75$ to install on a MAME arcade I am building. I see the encoder has 4 pins on it. So are they 2 pins for going left and two for going right? Help is appreciated
The supersprint looks great!
Thanks!!
The shocking gag is not as shocking as it once was Todd :-( ! You could call this a "remasterd" Super sprint which really is a lot better looking than it was, have to say that the TnT Crew did an awesome job high fives all round As always Todd Tnt is the only place to be
Another AWESOME Video Todd! Wonder how many Quarters i spent in arcades when i was a kid.
Glad you liked the video Kenny!
is this a mid-res-monitor, Sir?
Yes it is!
Is this where James Rolfe film the Polibius episode?
Yes it is! Here is him behind the scenes filming it...and wait until you see what happens at the end! (Dont skip through---watch whole video!) ua-cam.com/video/1odokf3kyd0/v-deo.html
1:12 This part cracked me up.
My beautiful wife!
Curt is an animal on this game
Why is the blue cars control panel green?
burn646 probably because it is the original control panel overlay. My supersprint blue player looks exactly the same. TNT probably left it alone because it is in great original shape.
How much
Crosley was the owner of WLW in Cincinnati.
Yes...Sam had mentioned that...there was so much material and we just couldn't cover everything.
We need more......
Nutty letters episodes
Creep of the week episodes
Phone nutties episodes
Conclusion of sea wolf guy episode
Also need more footage of Pam belittling you in your videos 🔥
All coming!!! In my spare time! v Isn;t 1384 Videos in just 7 years good enough?
TNT Amusements Inc NO!
todd your wife makes me laugh...... funniest thing
My beautiful wife!
how much was this Todd?
$3699.
TNT Amusements Inc one day I will get this, one of few games hard to play on mame as you need a full spinning wheel
Wow the original size looks smaller than I remember…
Atari had plans for a 2600 version for 'Super Sprint' with the driving controllers but was axed.
Those CREEPS!
I have a super sprint with the 3 steering wheels but my screen is black and white it hasnt worked in years
Sounds like an input issue on the boards
Are you going to show off the new STERN pinball game IRON MAIDEN Legacy of the Beast?
Not a 25 inch flatscreen monitor? 🤔
Lyle Johnson nothing beats crt for classic gaming, curvature, scanlines etc that the original produced
The picture will be squished down a bit!!!
You are right as I looked closer and there is a slight curve in the front of the crt. The game designers took that into account.
Why didn't you keep the original design bezel and change the dimensions in Gimp or Photoshop to fit the monitor new size?
What is so special about that motor, why can't you just get a new one from a motor supplies.
my girl wants to party all the time......
She does!
Just asking is VIDEO#666 is about SATAN'S HOLLOW arcade game?
It would make sense right.
CREEPS!
and MORE Creeps!
