Cheating is generally regarded as a reflection of a person's moral choices. It can be seen as indicative of a lack of integrity or honesty. In contrast, when someone no longer has romantic feelings for their partner, it is often considered more respectful to address the issue openly and honestly, leading to the possibility of ending the relationship with dignity and respect for both parties involved.

I had a one night stand while I was in a long distance relationship and I confessed about it. We had a lot of fights and I explained to him that it was a total mistake. He told me he couldn’t take it so broke up with me after telling me what a bad person and other things I am. He doesn’t seem to realize how he played a role. We were supposed to meet soon but now he is done with me even though I expressed how much I want to work on this and he’s told me he needs to stay away from me. How do I cope with the pain of what I did and that he doesn’t even give me the chance to try?
