Yes. Chade is very frustrating, especially in Quest. I've thought that Robin Hobb's point is that people are all trash fires and we all constantly go against our stated beliefs and morality that we have both for ourselves and others. That humans can't separate emotion from choosing what to do and that to truly be self-less is often impossible or just selfishness for another reason (Verity). That we often let inaction and pleas to duty be the excuses we use to not do what we know is right. Glad you loved Odd Thomas!
I support (and hope) you make a video about Robbin Hobb's trilogy - want to hear ALL your thoughts. Also laughed out loud that you dumped on the romantasy book and still gave it 3 stars - your optimism is lovable. Excited that you loved Piranesi and looking forward to reading it yearly next year. And adding The Justice of Kings to my TBR (who doesn't LOVE grimdark).
Hi Silvia, what a successful reading month :) I liked your passionate reviews :):):) My September ended only with one book fully read but that was due to long vacation and now I'm looking forward to reading in October even more
Thank you so much (and sorry for the late reply)! I read another book, sadly, very similar to From Blood and Ash this month... Turns into a bit of a tradition. Hope you're having a great month! ❤️
@@libraryunbounded Hi Silvia, thank you for the answer ;) I just wanted to let you know that I read The Dark Matter you recommended and it was really great! 4* for me ❤ And I'm sorry you found a similar book to Poppy's again, I'm sending wishes for a better hand next time :)
Woop, what a good reading month! I keep hearing good things about Piranesi, and feel a bit of FOMO, but somehow, all the hype also makes me resistant to reading it 😅
Sounds like a good reading month! Yay! My favorite book for September that I read was This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger. I already want to re-read it. 😊 ❤
Oh, I have heard great things about his writing! Matter of fact I was planning on reading one of his books in October. This makes me even more excited for it!
Hi 😊 ! I love piranesi, I'm so glad you loved it as well ! Odd Thomas definitely on my tbr now ^^ ! And I completely agree with you on "justice of kings", it's definitely grim-dark. I didn't enjoy this book much but it's mostly due to personal preference since sadly I'm not a fan of grim-dark. Have a great day !
I will be recommending Piranesi for a long time! I do hope you enjoy Odd Thomas! I absolutely loved it and I think if you like Stephen King but looking for something slightly more humane, while still very brutal, you'll definitely like it
Upon seeing the September TBR video I feared for you, glad to see you had a good time. I've only watched the FMAB anime, and it's sooo good, maybe I'll dive into the manga. I might have to read Piranesi since I hear nothing but good things about it.
Piranessi was really a surprise. I will admit, I sometimes avoid books that become somewhat viral and get so much praise (don't really know why). But this one is something else.
Hello, I'm not a very fast reader I only read three books in September Ruin and Wrath by John Gwynne and The Grey Bastards by Jonathan French and I just started book 2 The True Bastards. Easily my favorite of the month was Wrath. I bought them as a collection but they were smaller books I liked the series so much that I'm now buying all four of the books in full size. I also bought/buying the Bloodsworn trilogy.
You say you're not a fast reader, and then proceed to tell me you read a few massive books!! I am getting mixed signals 😂 Sounds like a great reading month to me!
I going to start Piranesi as my next audiobook! Also you should enjoy Tyranny of Faith just as much as Justice of Kings. I just finished Fool’s Errand and in this first book of the Tawny Man trilogy I finally liked Fitz!!
I love Fullmetal Alchemist but I'm not really far into the series yet (I read Volume 1 and 2 and watched half of the Brotherhood anime lmao) I can't wait to continue reading the volumes though :3
Yeah, I felt no chemistry between Hawke and Poppy either. I didn't like Hawk and Poppy too much but especially Hawke (or when Poppy keeps describing him🙃) I have a problem with wanting to complete series, soooo I read the second one and want to finish the series at some point but it's more of a 'don't use my brain too much' type of read
Sounds to me like the plot holes in the Farseer trilogy bothered you almost as much as they bothered me. I ended up DNFing the series, and I don’t intend to read anything else by the author.
Is it just me or do almost ALL contemporary authors just try to write a better version of someone else's book...???where did everyone's vision go..????..Dean Koontz is not part of this group....he's incredible..
There is indeed a trend to just modify already done ideas and write very similar books. I wouldn't say all authors are doing it, I rather think similar books get more popular, because social media tends to promote what people already have proven to like. Dean Koontz was such a nice surprise indeed. Can't believe I hadn't heard of him until this year.
*pushes Piranesi up her TBR* 👀

Ahh so happy you enjoyed Piranesi. I loved that book so much. Empire of the Wolf gets more into the horror fantasy genre with book 2.
It was amazing indeed! Can't wait to see more from this author.
Oh, more horror sounds great! Hope to be able to continue the series soon
I loved Piranesi so much! ❤ 😊
For a good reason
Wow, 8 Books! This looks like a great month for you.😊
Thank you so much, Neda! ❤️

Haha I know how that is. I usually would be a bit hesitant too. It was the name that did it for me :))
Sounds like a good reading month! Yay!

Hahaha oh my, you are a persistent one! I don't know why the author hates him so much 😂

Wow! What is that song in your intro? It's epic ❤
Yes, it's pretty cool. It's called Governor of the North, by Jo Wandrini :)

Well, sometimes one needs those series too. And I can absolutely relate to the desire to finish all that was started
Tell me... does it look like it's gonna rain, lieutenant?
No. I don't think September is over yet😭NOOOO
Okay, I am willing to postpone October a bit for you :))
@@libraryunbounded I appreciate that💜🤣
Sounds to me like the plot holes in the Farseer trilogy bothered you almost as much as they bothered me. I ended up DNFing the series, and I don’t intend to read anything else by the author.
Maybe not as much since I did end up finishing and even liking it - there were other things that made it worth it for me. But I was bothered 😅
