Thanx man. Regards from Turkey
so its not dangerouse to pry off the belt without block the whells??? (for avoiding breack motor)
This was only the accessories belt 😉
i love this Car so bad... if u sell this car i unsubscribe ur channel Bro :D
How did you get the tensioner bolts in? The part the belt sits on seems to be right in front of the bottom bolt..
I suppose it's a bit of a struggle, but I had no problems or issues getting the bolts back in.
hi from uk, I have a bmw e39, 525d touring, 2001- none of the electric windows work from drivers side main window switch, --this switch also controls both elec fold in mirrors, and also the mirrors adjustment itself, these have all stopped working, so to sum up, all the elec windows and mirror controls have suddenly stopped working from drivers switch cluster, the fuses are all ok, any ideas, it seems strange the mirrors and all windows have suddenly stopped at drivers switch, but the passenger window switch works the passenger window ok, any ideas-thanks in advance and great vids, cheers dave
Probably the switxhblock to blame in the driver's door, or the wiring / connectors leading up to it. Good luck!
@@TheMomusCollection hi again, I took the switch box off and a visual only from the outside it looks ok inc all wires/plugs etc, I also thought it might be the switch box, but then I thought is it possible for that box to suddenly nock out all 4 windows and all mirror functions/basically all the switches on the box don't work. (I wasn't sure! ), and these switch units are not cheap. do u think a faulty switch box can knock out all 4 windows and all mirror functions?. thx dave
@@regieboix2 absolutely, our beloved E39 is now a classic. Things will break.
@@TheMomusCollection cheers
What happens if a little coolant comes out of the water pump because I didn't hold the bolts solid the first time
It's the same process of filling it up afterwards. Just don't drive and let the car overheat!
@@TheMomusCollection what? Im saying that when I took off the fan, the water pump squirted a little coolant out. I bought a new one anyway. It is a good time to replace it while doing the oil filler housing gasket
Can I out any thermostats in or does anyone know which model he used
Hey, You can order them with your VIN number at your local auto parts or if that doesn't work you can order it through us here: www.wearemomus.com/service
😉
Great video thank you!
Hello, im looking for changing my thermostat too, bcz there's no heat in cabin, i think my thermostat stuck closed all the time. Can you make a quick video how to bleed system properly? thanks and good job
Hi there, at the moment I do not foresee any maintenance on the coolant system of our E39, as we just completely filled and bled the system.
However, it really is as easy as shown in the video. If needed, you can open the second bleed screw on the radiator hose. Open them both, fill up the radiator expansion bottle, and retighten the screws as soon as fluid comes out. Do this when the engine is cold. Be careful not to exceed the cold filling level mark on the bottle, as chances are it will push out through the top of the bottle as the engine heats up.
Let the engine run up to normal running temperature, and set the heater, including the scroll wheel in the middle vents, to max heat. Let it run for about 5-10 mins, keeping an eye on coolant temp gauge and let completely cool.
Afterwards you can undo the bleed screws once again and fill up, to the max cold level mark as needed. Close everything up when done. That's all there is to it ;).
Thank you, it helped aloooot. I've done it and have heat again! Thanks again!
Great! Glad it worked out :).
Thank you turkey !
Any reason you didn’t replace the water pump as well?
Hi, it was still in good condition ;)
You’re a legend! Thanks for the videos, you’ve provided some inspiration for my E39!
Did you go MIA or?
There is new stuff coming soon! :)
Mömus glad to hear!!!
