This was very helpful, I used it in a class presentation and it really made the presentation more content driven

Nice video, watching made me realize a new perspective. Bart's Positive Punishment, seems to have both positive and negative elements using your example. Bart gets given a task that adds an unpleasant punishment (positive) but he also get something desirable taken away, his time (negative). It's a double punishment, poor Bart.

A well explained summary of a tyrannical method of shutting down natural learning tendencies, dominant in almost every aspect of today's society.

Skinner and Thorndike - two names to remember when we study operant conditioning.

Behavioural/learning theory has done so much damage around the world and still does.

If you use the carrot stick method on people, children or adults you'll get quick results in the short term and kill all intrinsic motivation not to mention the relationship.

In 2020/2021, we see the use of Fines and Lockdowns as Positive and Negative Punishments...

Yes, helpful but I wish those educators who put this together would check all the mispelled words...many of them. Takes away from the credibility of the presentation.

Tarrick Salaman because he’s criticising the credibility of the presentation, it’s something we do in psychology but with theories instead, his comment just reminded me of doing questions in psychology aha
