What impresses me most about Yamal isn’t his technical ability. It’s his IQ, his maturity for his age. Dude picks and chooses his battles. He’ll pass the ball back in times where other wingers will attack and lose it, make a killer pass instead of trying to score and when he does shoot 🎯
He’s selfless and it’s incredible to witness. A true intergenerarional talent. We’re witnessing greatness. Hopefully the kid stays healthy and hungry.

I'm a fan of barcelona since 1991. I have seen all the players some of you saw as adult players from iniesta xavi and the rest. What is the determining factor with a very young player is his mental and his maturity in decision making on the field. This is what separated messi from all at his age . that is why, up until he's 20 or 21, his playing time should be somewhat limited. from 20s matches in the first, then 30-35, then 35-40; only when he reached the age of 20 can he be allowed to play for a full schedule (50-60 matches per club season).

I don’t think it would’ve made much of a difference, Pedri & Gavi played with him for a season or two & they aren’t shining that bright & Bojan, his own cousin, couldn’t really reach his peak, being consistent enough to be even mentioned in a conversation post the Barca golden era. Messi plays better with equals (talent wise), I think him & Lamine would’ve been unstoppable especially because of how similar their playstyles are.

A very underrated aspect of his is his physique, he doesn't get injured for ridiculous periods of time despite being so young. That strength, along with his skills and incredible maturity is gonna take him to new heights. God bless the child, Spaniards need him, can't wait for another era of Spanish-dominance just like the good old days. Their midfield is stacked, their defense is good and their offense is pitch-perfect.

His unbelievable performance at wolfsburg to win their first Bundesliga, his goal agaisnt qpr to put city level that was overshadowed by aguero, his top tier striker performances at roma, bringing bosnia to their first ever world cup.
He holds a place in my heart because growing up when people would hear that i am Bosnian they will see me as a war child, because of the horrible things that happened in Bosnia, but with the rise of Edin Dzeko people saw Bosnia as “the country edin dzeko is from” and not “the war torn country”. He helped bring a good light to the country.

I remember people used to lambaste the comparison of young Messi to Maradonna saying he's not even talented as Robino or Kaka and he's overrated. Messi himself detested the comparisons too. A few years after, he'd exceeded everyone's expectations... even the ones who said he needed a World Cup to even be considered. Yet today, people still say he good but nowhere near the likes of Pele, Maradonna or even cr7. I say let people have their opinions...the facts will be backed with the stats. The problem with very young stars is that many reach their peak performance too young and sometimes they cannot grow more than that, or they cannot maintain their performance in the following years, and that is a burden of stress and pressure that is difficult to bear.

I believe he will be blessed when it comes to injuries. He already had some serious tackles like early in the game against Brazil. He also has a strict diet from young age by living in La Masia (all food prepared for them). For example Ansu Fati often eat at his home cooked by his mom. Nothing wrong with that but going elite and eating mam's foot isn't like for example CR7 who mastered that part (only reason he could compete a bit with Leo). Hope he gets a long rest after EURO and other holidays. Xavi overused him IMO! Bless him
