Tristania opus relinque..... You must hear!!! Back at 90s theatre of tragedy, tristania and haggard and dimmu borgir were my 4 favourite bands. Ok not only these 4.. soad and prodigy too.. but i got stucked with these four for so many years ❤ I still listen to all of them.. Off course
This was true gothic metal. Tristania with Vibeke, Theatre of Tragedy with Liv Kristine and The Sins of Thy Beloved, the best gothic metal bands. Glorious and masterful music.
@@hardybravo8485 no se si sobra...si es por años te diria que sacando a Draconian,pondria a the Sins of Thy Beloved y anterior a ellos a Anathema(pero en su epoca doom gothic metal) y porque no a Pradise Lost...y mas aca pondria a Trees of eternity...esta ultima banda si que iban a ser grandes,lastima que Leah fallecio
Vibeke has a new band, Veil of Secrets, also goth metal, with some doom elements. Tristania was great until about 2008, then went to hell. Vibeke left the music industry to teach music to children. Her new band is very new, first album last year or maybe it was 2020. Either way, it's a really good album. The male vocalist here, Morton Veland, basically invented symphonic and gothic metal together. He left Tristania after two albums and started Sirenia, where he has made many great albums.
Beyond the Veil is their magnum opus ( the whole album ) . The singer's name is Vibeke Stene and she left the band . Sadly it kinda went down the drain after that... along with the whole gothic metal scene. These kind of bands became a dome-a-dozen in Europe during those times, all copying themselves. Definetely Tristania along with Theater of Tragedy and few other were pioneers though...
