MOST BEAUTIFUL BORDER VILLAGE w/ Old Tibetan Houses - 'Nako' in Kinnaur, Himachal

This part transported me to a place I dearly wish to visit. It didn't feel like India! This is that village in Himachal's Kinnaur district which is usually a 1-hour stopover for travellers. But I felt like staying here for weeks.
This is Nako, the jewel in the crown of Hangrang Valley of Himachal Pradesh.
Apart from the obvious visit to the Nako Monastery and the Nako Lake, I made sure to walk inside the lane of the Nako village which resembled the old kingdom of Tibet somehow.

Great to watch your travel jaunts to the Himalayas and Kinaur! Have heard so much of Kinaur because of Kinaur Lama Tenzin Gyaltsen who was a Mahasiddhi and became a teacher to HH The Dalai Lama. It’s the first time I am seeing Naku which I have heard of bc of being a strategic border town between India and Tibet. As the gentleman told you, today all ancient roads between Tibet and India and Tibet and Nepal are closed by the Chinese communist occupiers! People have lost their livelihood because they can’t sell their good to Tibetans and Tibetans can’t buy their goods! Tibet today is a vast open prison! Nobody can get in and nobody can get out!
