How do you completely isolate an element (or various) from a specific view? (like floor plans) Everytime I close and open the Revit file those elements are visible again and have to select them back again.
You would need to selected it if you want to hide it specifically. You could save the selection if you need to hide it and unhide it a lot. Or you could make them all specific in some way and use a filter.
Are you referring to the Site Design tab in Revit. I believe as of Revit 2021, those are no longer included in the installation of Revit. Does not mean they do not exist but it must because a lack of use. I see the potential in these tools but they were always difficult to get right.
THANK YOU Really great clear video to understand !!!
thanks for these videos
My pleasure!
Danka, My boss kept getting upset with me because I always used the element hide rather than temp hide.

There is no way to permanently unless you specifically hide everything else in the view. Using the temporary hide/isolate will not stay.
once you use apply hide isolate, is there an option to bring back to normal after using apply command?
After applying the only way to be if you can undo because you are applying it the view in other words, accepting.
how would you hide a specific piping system (pipe and all fittings) in 3d view?
