Such a great speech! I totally agree with him that the digital media disruption is not bad. It makes us having the news in our pocket. The news is convenient and it also means we can satisfy our curiosity whenever we want and wherever we are. That we don’t have access to news from only television , radio or news paper but from mobile phone, computer or anything else when we have free time as he said ‘what disrupt us may save us’.

As a 15 year old aspiring journalist (especially in the field of sport but I also have a passion for geography) this was beneficial and eye opening. If anyone was kind enough to have any advise or suggestions on steps I could potentially take, they would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Best advice, do not become a journalist. It is the new way of saying "I'm 32 & still live with my parents".

In 2023, this now looks hopelessly optimistic. The fact is that the profusion of information sources has made it extremely difficult for any consumer of news to know what they are reading or listening to or watching. With AI already having an impact, this can only get worse. I don't hear any solution for this here.

Why can't journalists understand that the mistrust is their own doing for manipulating the reality of news events?

Someday, journalism will be read at the touch of a finger. Someday, radio and television will be gone, and all we'll have are our mobile devices. And someday, technology may take over journalism entirely.

Nope, radio is the one medium that is definitely not going away. The current coronavirus lockdowns across the globe are a testament to that.

Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "jobs writing online" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Mennaphew Coinspin Expertise - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my co-worker got excellent success with it.
