Weiner is the CEO of LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network. He joined the company in 2008 from Yahoo. Under his leadership, LinkedIn has grown its membership from 33 million to over 645 million members, and increased its revenue from $78 million to more than $6 billion. He has received numerous accolades as CEO, and helped lead Microsoft's acquisition of LinkedIn for $26 billion, one of the largest tech acquisitions of all time.

Mmm, sorry, but back in the day I didn't need a 'network'. I went into an interview by way of presenting myself in the best possible way... having done my research and it worked. I don't agree with the notion that your working life almost appears to 'need' it, to get anywhere...b/s.
