Seems like the principle behind this is the following: The more knowledge/control/skill you have, the more important become rules with a specific goal in order to guide yourself. In this case, the knowledge is wisdom and the rule is compassion. It's the same as saying actions are bad if they are not good... But yeah his words definitiely stick!

Because collaboration way of working demands the execution which, these leaders can never able to do. Because these leaders are only vocal and using the fancy words like: coaching, mentoring, motivating, problem solving etc. But, in reality never ever has done anything. These people have reached at CEO level because they are vocal and has not done anything in reality. Avoid these leaders. Alas! to say that 95 percent leaders of this world is like this. If he has a real time problem solver (as he has mentioned many times) then, he should solve the real problem of his company and specific to that environment rather compare with a baseball game scenario.
Hopefully his employees also get to do all the things he gets to do: regular exercise, preparing kids to go to school etc. Often time, those at higher ranks get these leeway of more flexible time, to arrange their day based on how they prefer it than those at lower ranks. Superiors ‘throw’ workload to their subordinate so they get their ‘work-life balance’ while the subordinate probably get reprimand from HR because they several times make request to leave early because of emergency at home. That’s the difference between having an interview with HR people vs with direct user. HR people will want to hear “the position I’m applying for is my dream job”. The direct user, especially someone at C-suite level or owner, they want to hear the truth, what makes you you, where you fit & how you can be part of the company’s future plans. Sadly, most great candidates got ‘filtered’ by HR people who are most likely don’t really know what kind of person is needed for the available position.
This is a very interesting and insightful interview. Life is like a race with many hurdles. The workforce is no different, Ultimately it is about finding your tribe. Being around like minded people. Failure in the workforce is an opportunity to do it better and get it right. Many successful ppl have failed. I think there are good employers and good employees but they may not be good for each other. We all are born with natural gifts and talents. Everyone must find their tribe. Employees want jobs but I am learning it takes wisdom to overcome labor hurdles. Taking a good look at the organization’s mission and vision which should mirror the functionality of the organization and not just be statements of propaganda. Good business are like a body they will have diversified employees with one goal. The body has different parts with different functions that work together for the same purpose. A good organization does the same. Organizations gets bad reports and so does employees. Not one is perfect but we all work toward perfection.
asking someone what's your dream job during an interview is kind of an unfair question i feel. Its putting someone in an awkward position, like what if the job they are applying for is really their dream job, and if they answer that, it might come off as inauthentic, and vice versa So they are stuck in a weird place, trying to answer what they don't want to, but have to.
But that measures something so important. It shows ability to think clearly. If the job you're interviewing for is your dream job (which has vvvv low % of being true) then say it! The risk of it sounding inauthentic is rather low cause it's your dream job. Most likely it isn't and it's not awkward at all saying that the current job you're applying for is not your dream job. A job doesn't have to be your dream job for you to be amazing at it. If the interviewer thinks it has to be, you're better off not joining that company

That abusive attitude sums up everything you need to know to be sure it’s a very bad idea to work for such an inhuman company. And he even thinks he’s being a cool bada**. Nope. Just the average „take no prisoners and stick and nothing“ narcissist, who‘d sell his own grandmother to appear strong and cool and gain some success on the sore back and bones of others he is ready to walk over and sacrifice at any given time. And you present this guy as a role model. No wonder this country has so many problems. „
Finally someone who saw this the way that I did. Everyone is praising him which had me thinking that maybe I’m missing something. You are 100% correct but due the fact that you have zero likes on your comment, I can see that the truly compassionate mindset that we share is in the minority here. Its almost comical the way he masked his ruthless, cut throat decisions as compassion.
