- Welcome back to another video! Appreciate you guys watching 🙏🏼
I spent 65 days out at sea commercial fishing. We fish out of Dutch Harbor Alaska for pollock. This was during A season 2024, from January - late March. Our next season starts in June so more fishing content coming soon!

That’s so sick you get to do it with your dad. I could see that making it so much more bearable
Definitely makes it way better
JAKE, I LIVED IN ALASKA IN 1960S AND WE FISHED OUT OF SEWARD, JAKE FISHING IN ALASKA IS STILL IN MY BONES . ALL WAYS STAY SAVE . CAPT TIM
Hey Jake, i’ve been watch for a bit now. I love the mix between sharing your work and your lifestyle at home. I’m a huge car enthusiast myself so the ST 135 build and the x3m content are always exciting to watch! Keep killing it brotha! All love
Means a lot bro! Thank you for watching
i love these types of videos, fishing vessels are simply too beautiful
Awesome video . Nice to see life on the boat and land . Thx for sharing .
Dang that’s cold hard work! Thanks for sharing.
id love to see more vids of this how amazing
Awesome video brother, ton of respect for you doing this. Hard worker for sure!! can you make a video about some close calls or dangerous situations you've had working at sea. Would be cool to hear some experiences you've had.
Bro, from the moment you step on that boat with the constant noise of the engine rumbling in the background - instantly brought back PTSD memories of my time on a drill rig.
But hey, 10 minutes in at least I couldn't hear my tinnitus anymore, so that's good...
Cool video though man - it's a tough job, I'm sure - everything's loud, wet, cold, made out of metal and trying to kill you, but in my experience, working with people like you makes this kind of work bearable!
I've always wondered what commercial fishing was like. Keep up the hard work mate
I see that boat alot in Dutch close to klooster. I work on a processing boat
Oh i been watching you for such a long time now
Appreciate it a ton bro
Work hard play harder 👏🏼
Good stuff bro. Enjoy these videos. Just subbed. Hopefully your UA-cam career can blow up.
Thank you bro!
Keep it up man.
Really enjoyed this video, came across it randomly, a new subscriber from me. You cleaned that boat pretty well, good on you. Keep up the grind mate ❤ from the UK
I fish on a seinor for salmon so I know your pain lol love the videos brother
i spent 2 months and did 16 trips out of akutan on a smaller boat, by the end i felt the exact same lol. cool to see someone make videos like this, there is very little content from these fisheries so im glad to see someone starting it! How old are you and how did you find this spot on such a nice boat?
At the age of 17 I started working on a prawn ( shrimp) trawler. We did two seasons first was a 4.5 month season, not touching land . This was the banana prawn season then had 6 weeks off and then back out for a 5 month season which was the tiger prawn season. Every 3 weeks we would meet a mother ship to unload product, refill fuel, water and get to have our Hollywood showers. I did this for 8 years then met a woman and gave it up
This is sick, so much fish. Do the nets come apart in different zones? How long does it take to relace that rope and close up the net before dropping it back in?
So do you guys have to worry about ice buildup like the crab fishing fleet does? Cause thats one thing that seemed to take out a lot of vessels and do you ever get use to the cold or just accept it
So more fishing content….it really brings the viewers!! What kind of fish is that you bring in from the net?
One of my longest trips at sea was 48 days 😁😭 just one trip still had 2 more after that ☠️
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like this job
I am planning to do the same as you, I am 15 and soon going to start high school, do you have any tips for me? And what is the worst/best about being a fisherman?
What are you using for a laptop same editing software
what penjamin you taking pa ?
Hey man I was just wondering how many crew do you have to run this, is it just 4 of you to run the whole boat ?
Also another question 😂 you said once it’s 6 months out of the year, do you guys do two months on the boat and two months home and repeat? Really awesome videos man just came across your channel
Yeah man just 4 of us. Our seasons are pretty much 3 months, two times a year! Thank you bro
Do the fish get frozen or stay in a live well. Idk if that’s a dumb question just wondering how they stay fresh on the trip back
We put them into the tanks and we refrigerate the water, we also plan our trips so the fish don’t stay in the tanks too long before offloading
Probably a dumb question. How do you know where to drop your net? How do you find the fish?
Never would I do that type of dangerous work.
We're you in the navy?
Damn so from January to March, you pretty much live at Sea
my guy
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I’ll be honest love the fishing vids , came here from insta and lovin the longer content. But when ur not on the boat those vids arent my cup of tea. By no means hating, u do u keep up the grind
Really want to leave everything and do this, How does one get into this
I know the feeling.I got to work instruction with my brother for about 4 years and do health renovations. That was pretty cool.Yet little bit more of a bond since you're looking over each other on a daily basis
How much did you make. Can you give us a rundown of the costs and profits of this job/work
I like spending 65 days on a boat in the desert.
A lot of lifting equipment onboard I hope they get inspected for damages and re certified. Could save ur life
Do you rip darts or vape?
Weird question 😂
Is it your dads boat or you guys working for someone
What kind of fish are those?
I'm guessing Pollock
I signed up for all the ones in Alaska and nothing bro
Just a question, how do you guys combat over fishing? Hauling tons of fish all the time must not be that healthy for the population?
Bro how do I get a job like this bro
If you need a extra hand I'm there.
sir i am indian can i do this job.
er bro dansk?
Hey don't drop the lazy wire those fish are no good there all dead
No offense but even a cheap bluetooth mic would make a world of difference in your audio.
Damn Dragger
lol Me thinks your much too young to be hating on the work already… follow your dreams man , you’ll be successful no matter what you do. ☮️ Ans you’ll never “work” a day in your life.
If you hate fishing so much then just quit. I think that you are just plain spoiled
I’m plain spoiled for working hard? Make it make sense 😂😂
I started working as a professional cray fisherman in 1965 when I was 16. I loved my work. Was the best job I ever had. There was no this is my job and that is your job… everybody just pitched in and helped each other. I left after 3 years as the money was terrible. I meant spoiled as in earning a fair amount of money and having nice cars …. not that you do not deserve them
This is crap!!
I think it's interesting
@megacatsupreme466 it's fascinating
Dude , where do you get your brows down? Looks like your girlfriend had one to many white claws and got out of hand
But why don't you want to be yourself around? The people that you work with would be less awkward if they actually got to know you man
