Yes, it's a meme. Yes, I hated it. Still, a challenge is a challenge. We are playing as Germany and we have to capitulate the Allies and the Comintern, so UK, USSR and all their friends. We can only use artillery battalions to fight. Great.
Rules:
- play as Germany
- only use artillery battalions to fight
- having other units is OK if they do not fight anyone ever
- planes, support companies, nukes and navy are allowed
- capitulate Allies
- capitulate Comintern
- Ironman

Nuke shooting artillery, ummmmm…, The Davy Crocket was a real thing. Pretty hilarious, but super dangerous!
Try the M65 Atomic Cannon instead, which could fire 15 kiloton yield nuclear shells over much longer distances. The Davy Crockett was much smaller by comparison (akin to a man-portable nuclear mortar), though also much more dangerous to the user because of it.

talking about exhausting the soviets, in one of my games playing as Portugal, joined the axis, Germany attacked soviets, joined the war, and exhausted them so much that the soviets had 3 divisions and 0 manpower remaining XD.

Taureor, I voted in your poll for more Meme content. However, I want to clarify - I appreciate it for the additional challenge it gives to your gameplay, and the strategies you use to still succeed with absurd restrictions. One way to put it, is as a dissection of the different tools you have in-game, and knowing which ones to use when others are taken away.

You totally did your best! Trust me, I know how frustrating it is, when your armies can attack, and you told them to do something, and they don't do that (it's mostly when I play as a Great Britain and try to make an air assault)

Try to survive as Poland for 4-5 years only using Air and Sea forces.
I think the optimal way to fight with artillery may be to just turn on a attack order, let them push a province, and then stop the order until they regain organization. This would best preserve the massive soft attack capability and put the divisions at the least risk of dissolving because of the low hp. Not that I know how to play the game that well.
Maybe you forgot, but you can actually do a completely new template if you select "new template" at the top of the division designer in the dropdown menu where it tells you the name of the template you're currently working on. Can be a lot cheaper for army xp : )
My grandfather told me today, that the english way to refer to Gdansk or Danzig until WW2 used to Dancig.
Artillery is great! Especially if you name them SS-Sturmbrigade before taking "Oppose Hitler"

Kinda reminds me of eu3 after the 2 dcl was released (and mercenaries got nerfed) until the 4th dcl arrived, back then everyone played using only cavalry for pretty much the whole game since shock damage happened before fire damage (cav also had higher shock modfier, so to this end even if infantry had better stats they would still melt away in the shock phase before they could deal damage), this also made the ottoman empire op early on since they got good cav faster

Nuke cannons were a thing. Even nuke recoilless rifles you could haul with a jeep. (Though your shooters would have to drive away as fast as they could the instant after launching... Or you can just hand one over to an electric soviet to hip-fire out of a helicopter.)
Gorky 17 was a f-ked up game I loved it. Though the enemies had annoying sounds :P
Restore Austria-Hungary as Croatia. You can use some of the focuses from the beginning of the Yugoslav industrial branch to make life easier for you. You can add via the game files cores in Slovenia and Zara, and claims in Bosnia, Istria and maybe Vojvodina.

I did something different a while ago, since support battalions count for 0 width I had thousands of them, it was horrendous, it works to an extent since the max negative(with all effects stacked, its just capped) is 99%
Consider this challenge:
Play as Dutch East Indies, goes independent by doing a Communist Civil War, and then liberate the entire South East Asia from its chains.
That means, having Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and British Malaya as your equals at the same faction: Union of South East Asian Nations

Really the only challenge to this is the lack of HP. A full stack of either AA or Anti-Tank guns will give you either around 4.2 HP or 17 HP ( I remember seeing 4.2 somewhere in HP regards and I think it might be this)
If it gets too challenging then you can do either AA-Mounted-Tanks or Tank Destroyers.
