    Just found your channel, have been pretty bummed out not being able to regularly rock climb but this has really given me a new perspective for my back, shoulder and arms workout!

    Hey mate dono if you read your comments or know anything about this sort of thing but since I have hurt my shoulder bench pressing one time I cannot swing on monkey bars or do a one arm deadhang without front shoulder pain. Actually the pain is just from the hang I never stay stable enough to actually swing. I have full range of motion and no signs of impingement... I've been to drs and they basically do the normal tests for rotator cuff tears and palpitate my shoulder. When no pain response they say to fuck off basically lol. Before this incident I could swing on monkey bars fine. Dono if you have ever had a problem like that?

      There was/is no pain when you palpate the area?
      It could be a number of things! There could be a tear or it could be an overly tight muscle somewhere.
      I would say to try to find the problem spot through palpation or massage, once you’ve done that you can start to treat it.
      You might just have to start performing certain movements (bench, SA dead hang) with reduced loads.
      If there is a tear you’d have to start strengthening at some point so reduced load movements would be part of that anyway

    Hey how to deal with calluses while doing monkey bars, it’s such an obstacle and because of it I’m unable to to work on other tricks 😩

      It’s just managing it I guess!
      Like any other form of training, try to get the balance of doing enough but not too much!
      Think what it is that causes the problems, as in, what is it that you do to cause the problem, and just try to manage it. Again the body needs time to adapt and that includes the skin on the hands ✋🏼🤚🏼

      Plasters and bandaging may work temporarily but I think it’s something you get better with with time 😊💪🏼

    I need new monkey bar techniques. I can go fowards on 60 bars. Backwards 48bars. I can do push ups on top of them. And sideways. Maybe I can try buying rings

      Yeah rings are definitely worth having!
      They provide so many options and are good value for money 👍🏼💪🏼

    Maybe we need to look into a quick repair if your skin breaks. Gotta be sumin out there in the market like a glue ? 👋

      Maybe there is but I want to get to the stage where I either don’t feel any pain or my hands are so tough that they’ll never rip 💪🏼✋🏼🤚🏼
      Conditioning the skin as much as conditioning the muscles

    For both the rat race and nuclear race What is the spread bar to bar in center meters?

      I can only guess by comparing them to bars that I’ve used and recently measured!
      I reckon the Wild Forest bars are between 50-60cm apart - I miss a bar out which means I’m reaching 1-1.2 metres per swing!
      Not sure about the Rat Race although I would think it’s similar

      Good luck on yours too! I find the endurance stuff harder! I think I’m naturally more suited to explosive work
