The viewfinder should not be blurry. I would try carefully cleaning the rear lens of the viewfinder with a blower and some lens cleaning fluid on a cotton swab. If there are no obvious reasons why it is blurry then it could have haze or fungus inside the viewfinder. Hold up to some light and see if you can see any haze.
I took a look at the troubleshooting section of the manual. It says if the “U” mark is displayed often, the camera may be defective. The bad thing about these types of cameras is they are prone to these kinds of issues and may not be repairable. Sorry about your camera. I wouldn’t know how to fix this type of problem unfortunately.
That should work fine. It’s the same battery, Duracell just omits all the extra letters from the large text. As long as it’s the same size and 3V it will work. Thanks for watching!
Nice photos, I've had a few old Pentax point and shoot cameras, currently I have a Pentax zoom 70 s. I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another retro 35mm photographer 📸
Okay so I tried the same thing without film and the flash did not fire even though the light level was low in the room. I pressed the flash mode button once, turning the flash on manually, and it did fire. The manual for this camera can be found for free at butkus.org. Use the menu on the left side to get to the Pentax page. Then, near the bottom on the right side of that page is a link to the Pentax Point-and-shoot camera manuals. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
I have a question Where can I find the batteries, I have two of these cameras and a Pentax but I have been around a year and I have not been able to turn them on because of the batteries?
CR123 batteries can be readily found at pharmacies and home improvement stores in the U.S. Any brick & mortar store that carries batteries should have them. Alternatively you could always order them from Amazon. Thanks for watching!
To disable it, you should be able to set the date to all dash symbols (-). I don’t have a date-back version to check, but that’s how it works on most cameras with a date back from my experience. Thanks for watching!
@@pm6057 Thanks! For the first few photos I don't know because I no longer have the negatives but starting with the 8th photo I have a small caption at the bottom. Some of it was Kodak Gold 200 and some was Ektar.
There is a small gray button on the bottom of the camera which will force the camera to rewind if you press it. Otherwise the camera will automatically rewind at the end of the roll of film.
When I buy film online I usually get it from eBay, Adorama, or filmphotographystore.com. Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens still sell 35mm film. You can get cheaper film stocks online though. Kodak is raising the price of color film next year and its already expensive. I don't know if other companies will do the same.
Nice video. These little Pentax are solid performers. I own an IQ zoom 130 and love shooting with it.
I will definitely pick this up if I ever spot it somewhere. The lens quality seems great and sharp. Nice photos.
Thanks for watching!
Is the view finder supposed to be blurry. I just purchased one and when I put my eye to it it’s a little blurry

Will Duracell 123 battery work? Or does it have to be specifically 123A?

How do you disable the date stamp ?

What kind of film do you use in the sample pictures? :)
Great video by the way!
