My first Draw With Me. Despite feeling insecure used my fav coloured pencils and had a lot of fun. Hooray!

Enjoyed watching you paint. I tried Sushi in the mid 1990s. It tasted okay. I like the way it looks. It is a great painting subject. Thank you.

Out of all the places I have lived as a mil-brat, I disliked Az the most. Such a boooring place as a youngster; full of cantankerous elderly back then. Fortunately we were in the South near Nogales, so across the street into Mexico we went. 😅 Also too the food was horrific in Az. I feel your pain on that one. No child should ever be excited about a salad bar.
Aside from that, I love Sushi. One authentic restaurant us coworkers used to haunt offered us the ultimate delicacy ... a tiny live octopus that you popped in your mouth. I couldn't eat mine because it kept looking at me & it was cute. Anyhow the place was on the waterfront, so into my shirt pocket, & ultimately into the harbor it went.
I'm surprised you didn't do a red bean ice cream. Great sketches!
The food scene here has massively improved! Nogales is such a neat place, I have always loved visiting both sides there.
I'm in japan right now.... I drew a tanuki earlier so i'm just watching now.....tanuki is like a racoon

Oh, wow, I so wanted to love this! The vegan me just couldn't handle it though. I'll try again next time.
I looked up the temari and this was one of the initial google responses: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temari_(toy) (so I don't know if temari is an actual food but it does appear that the photo sushi image was inspired by the toy); both the food and the toy are pretty beautiful
