she's a natural story teller
I hope she wins an Oscar. My great great grandmother was Oklahoma Indian married to former US calvary soldier.. Her portrayal help me understand why my Grandmother and her siblings were so quiet.
I love the way she is speaking as she describing a certain scene or speaking about her grandmother almost lyrical. I am loving listening to her speak.

This movie and all involved in front of the camera and behind and the many Extras have earned and deserve an Oscars sweep.
Leo's facial acting in this was next level.

All three of them were amazing in the movie.
This movie was another masterpiece from the entire cast and, of course, Martin Scorsese. I got worked up from watching it and even teared up watching this interview. Hats off to Erik Davis for asking excellent open-ended questions that allowed DeNiro, Gladstone, and DiCaprio to expound.

I haven't seen this yet but definitely on my mind to see. My Grandma Lily was born within the 1920's and her Mom Lilian. Lily Gladstone calling her great grandma Grandma Lily was special to hear.

DiCaprio and De Niro are like father & son when they work together and Lily is a sort of prodigious daughter, who's next to these two giants of the film industry, so I hope to see her in mor starring roles because her performance really amazed me as much as the whole cast of Killers of the flower moon.

Interviewer was great. What you talking about?
Can you give some examples of better questions to ask these actors? The fact that Erik never cut any of them off and turned the attention to himself is praiseworthy enough, but he did a fantastic job because he also asked open-ended questions that forced them to talk. Not easy to do.

It's so interesting watching Leo talk. He has so much heart & information to share when he talking & then he minimises himself when he's done. He doesn't want to be the centre of it all, he wants the story & facts to be the centre. I appreciate his intention (& body language) so much here 🩷

Still happening today: Native Hawaiians on Maui were recently displaced by a fire that looks like an attempt to get their land. Greed!
She deserved the oscar but ok the globe is still great! To me De Niro here was outstanding too. I don't onow how much I hated that character woth all my heart. He sid a great great job. Di Caprio too, but De Niro omg. Good one. ❤
I'm really happy I watched this, and in a way I wish some of this material had made it into the movie more overtly and clearly: that the grand-daughter was adamant the two were in love (that's clear in the film, but I had been annoyed, thinking it was a Hollywood contrivance/whitewashing); that Hale actually had Osage at his funeral, and exchanged warm correspondence while he was in jail. Mindboggling. I don't know if it's in this video (I haven't finished it yet), but Gladstone has said that they had mixed morphine and arsenic in with Lily's insulin. And then they put her on heroin at some point when she was in the hospital, so she's dealing with being poisoned AND drug addiction at the same time. Now that I know all that, it's clear in their performances, but it's murkier in the narrative. One shot of two bottles labeled "Morphine" and "Arsenic" would have done the trick! I only saw the film once, on the big screen, so I'm overdue for a rewatch. Definitely fantastic performances.
