my favorite feature of my ct4 blackwing is how GM sells my driving habits and data to insurance companies and I get to pay higher insurance premiums unknowingly.

@@jacksonmcclelland69 brokie? .. my blackwing is paid in full. the increased premiums are not causing me any financial challenges. it's more about the principal of unknowingly being signed up for data mining and having all of your driving history shared and sold to insurance companies. things like hard acceleration events, top speeds, hard braking events, etc .. this is a very capable sports sedan, not information most owners would want shared out.

Love this car man, such an epic ride. The V6 sounds really good and the 6 speed manual is buttery smooth. No lift shift is super fun as well. Great review

Brand new super high spec 6-speed has sat in the showroom at the dealership I work at for ~200 days… they’re great cars and no one even knows!
Part of the problem is it's a fantastic car in base form .. and it starts at like 60k. Dealerships load it up with options in the mid 80s and it's not all that much different. I think most buyers would start looking at the 5 at that point, or the m3 etc..
Drive one. It’s just not a great car.
@@NomenClature-o8s I drove one and ended up buying it immediately. Way better than the M3 and C8 corvette which I cross shopped. Incredible car, clearly you know nothing about what a good driving experience feels like.

This is a whole lot of car and it looks like some of the most fun someone can possibly have in an extremely attractive package that doesn't completely sacrifice luxury but it's beyond sad that affordable in 2024 is "only 80-100 grand".

with DP, intakes and tune. you can get 550whp all day and bigger turbos with all FBO to support it. 650-700whp.. not bad at all

I drove a CT5 with the manual. The clutch pedal was terrible. It reminded me of the old cable clutches on economy cars in the 70’s and 80’s. An inch or two of slack, heavy pedal pressure and a long springy stroke down and back.
Go drive one of those old cars to remind yourself what that actually felt like, because a new 5BW feels nothing like that. Maybe something was broken.

BMW fans pissed GM of all companies made a better car 😂😂. Picked mine up for 65k all in. Thats tax, tag, and title. Cant find a USED G80 for that price. If you want an MT, this is the best modern car under 100k on the market. Not even close. Base G80 MT feels like it’s made of rubber compared to the tremec in these. Blackwing handles better too. Yes, M3 is faster. But doesn’t really matter IMO. Corvettes have been smoking M3s for decades. Doesn’t mean anyone cares. Don’t be scared away by the Cadillac logo. This is 100% a better drivers car. Coming from a guy who cross shopped both.
I looked at a used ct5-V BW price and almost had a heart attack 😂. I think I’ll keep looking at the ct4 BW instead

Fantastic sports sedan…certainly the most tactile available today, and probably of the last 20 years.
Surprised he didn’t censor the speedometer. Especially, considering he was going 70mph in 40mph speed zone.
GM neees to get its supply chain in order. Mine's been sitting 10 of the last 12 mos thanks to parts backorders that never seem to clear. In that time have heard of many other Caddys (mostly Escalades) suffering a similar fate.
Guess the most margin is in pumping out new cars. But news flash GM... reputation still matters.

It’s a Honda Civic sized vehicle that’s rwd so yeah things are gonna be tight in the back. Look at the new M3, it’s huge now. The back seat is usable if you need it though, but I don’t think many people are buying this to haul the family around in.
@@JamesAMG yet the Honda Civic has WAY more legroom. As has been noted, the interior packaging/efficiency on the Alpha platform has and continues to be a challenge...though I agree not many people are buying the BW version for much concern about hauling 4 people.
I would never let this guy drive my car, he makes the engine suffer too much by keeping the gearbox on 2nd too long😕
These cars are meant to be able to do that, plus you need to stay in higher rpm’s to get the most power out of corners.

No V8.... and Cadillac should produce big cars that look and feel like old Cadillacs! Bring back big comfortable cars with body frame cars with couch seats and lots of crome. No one needs a daily driver that is supposed to go around the damn nurnburgring...

Doesn’t need a V8, they CT5-V has one. This car feels lighter and really fun to toss around. Also the V6 actually sounds really good for what it is.

i get it...but i would still go G80. as great as this car is, its still a GM product. there is something about the interior of these cars that just bothers me. the sht buttons, the terrible plastics, the terrible infotainment...they need to do better. BMW has it figured out in the G8x cars.
