Compass was good car earlier but the interior felt a little bit basic and old
Now it's fresh design and the interior specially looks premium

You are the only people who drive the Jeep in the rough terrain and off roading
I subscribed because you did the best off road test on this car which satisfied me Compass is acually a recreational 4wd as opposed to Hard Core like Wrangler etc. Compass will do all I would ever need to do offroad. I would like to see Compas on sand and snow. I test drove one today and my friend has one as a loan car from dealership, this is a great rview about every part of the Limited Model. Thankyou

Why do all 4x4 cars are getting Automatic transmissions? Is it specifically for convenience during off road or what?

Thar comes with a manual and automatic 4x4

I don't know man I still love driving cars with manual transmission. I love old geared scooters too which have become an endangered species now. Automatic does provide comfort but manual makes you feel more connected with the car.

It would be great if we get near about 210mm or above ground clearance, cuz this is too low for us, as our road is very bad n there's no use if we got stuck due to clearance issue, even after spending such a huge sums of money!

Looks like a part time 4*4, with a limited slip differential, similar to previous car
@@madeeasyfinance the older one was an AWD if I am not wrong. They branded it as a 4X4. I am not sure if this has a proper transfer case.
@@iamarjun55 It has a power transfer unit, which is nothing but a limited slip differential, which transfers power to front and rear axle in predefined ratios. Good for mild offroading but not hardcore. No front ir rear differential lock.😎

its fwd, and just like the harrier, safari, creta, etc. it can go offroad a bit in areas where you can go fast with momentum... if you get stuck, or it's a rocky surface and you cant carry momentum.... thats when you're screwed and will wish you had 4wd with low range or an AWD equivalent.

@@noble9050 Oh really? First of all I never said no other car would have its wheel in the air under this situation. They most probably would. However, let me list a few examples that are outside this segment whose tyres would probably stay in contact with the ground for longer (i.e show better wheel articulation): Mahindra Thar, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MUX, Isuzu D Max. Heck from what I have seen the new Tata Safari (unibody construction and direct competitor) has better suspension travel than the Jeep Compass. However the Safari lacks an AWD option.
Don't kid yourself guys, no one buys a Compass to go off road. It neither has the ground clearance or water fording capability to go beyond broken trails. They. buy it because of the driving experience and interior quality.
@@fryingpan2168 I think you need to read my comment in depth before replying. I never mentioned anything about other cars. The Jeep Compass' suspension travel and ground clearance isn't very good. Just accept that it doesn't have to be (as 99% of owners will never take it off road) and move on. You really think no other car would have better wheel articulation? I don't think so

@kay kay okay let me ask you a question.....if someone starts a pen business and starts selling pen which can write inside water....and always focuses on nothing but that his pen can write inside water then if you need to write an essay, which pen would you prefer.....an ordinary pen or the pen which can write inside water.....if you choose the second one then you go and buy whatever you want....I don't care because you don't care......and yes if you are such a freak of offroading then buy yourself a jeep wrangler, Mahindra thar, Toyota fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Alturas G4, Mitsubishi pajero sport, Isuzu MUX etc jeep compass doesn't have a proper 4x4 system but an AWD system..... For normal commuting you would rarely find any use of a 4x4 system..... actually awd systems have been designed for tracks with low traction just like in Europe and parts of America where most of the times roads remain covered with snow, providing very low traction, but in India this is not an issue so why do you want to waste so much of your hard earned money on something you don't even need......
