    I bought the Toolkit because it looks like it will be useful. I can see that you have put a lot of work into it. Thanks

      Thank you! You'll always find the latest prompts there, as well as anything I'm experimenting with.

    thanks for the great information. i'm just getting started with novelcrafter and trying to setup and organize the prompt library so this is very inspiring and i'm excited to begin experimenting with different models for different tasks. the use of fine-tuned models looks promising too for setting a specific style of prose.

      I have yet to play with the fine-tuned models, but Novelcrafter has the best tool to set them up. For tutorials on setting up fine-tuning, check out The Nerdy Novelist and AI Writers Connection.

    Hi, Angie. I'm catching up on videos (summer 🙄) and this one was very helpful. I especially like the folders. Do you have something that teaches how to create those folders?

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  24 дні тому +1

      I thought I showed it in this video, but the Name field on the prompt determines the structure. When you enter the forward slash in the name, it causes it to act like folders and subfolders.
      BSB (Level 1) / Dev Editor (Level 2) / Dark Mafia Romance (Actual Prompt)
      Just determine what you want your structure to look like and add the forward slash between the "folders."

    Hi, I'd like to ask something. I'm new to this. When you pay for a plan on NovelCrafter, is the Claude model already included, or do you need to pay for your own Claude account and integrate it with API? Thanks, excellent content!

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  Місяць тому +1

      No, Claude isn't connected by default. The Hobbyist, Artisan, and Specialist plans are all "Bring Your Own Key," meaning you pay for what you use through the API.
      One thing to note, however, is that the Anthropic API doesn't connect directly to Novelcrafter. To use Claude, we go through the OpenRouter.ai API instead. Through OpenRouter, we can access the OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, and many other models.
      We can connect directly to OpenAI, but I prefer to use OpenRouter.

      @@ByteSizedBooksmith Oh, I understand. Thank you very much for your response. To be honest, I bought a Claude subscription with the idea of writing a non-fiction book, but then I came across your videos and this Novelcrafter tool with its great possibilities. So now I'm a bit confused about whether to start directly with Claude or use it in conjunction with Novelcrafter.

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  Місяць тому +1

      @@vinzdegar I recommend using both if you already have the Claude subscription. You can do quite a bit of the heavy lifting to create your premise and Codex entries in Claude Pro and then move the information into Novelcrafter to write the actual prose.

    Just curious, as you have direct links to Anthropic, but isn't novelcrafter really using OpenRouter for the Claude models?

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  2 місяці тому +1

      The links to Anthropic are to the announcement and to the API pricing. And yes, Novelcrafter uses OpenRouter to access the Claude 3 models, but the pricing is the same as advertised on the Anthropic website.
      I had some commentary on pricing in the video, but I cut it in editing. Yesterday, I had a question specifically about pricing, so I went ahead and included it in the description.

      @@ByteSizedBooksmith Thanks for the info. Hopefully, someday we(me) will be able to use our(my) API keys directly in novelcrafter. It's nice to use OpenAI api directly, but Anthropic and others would be nice too, as I have api keys with unused money on them. I am just not a fan of the "middle-man/proxy" router offerings. Thanks for your videos.

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  2 місяці тому +1

      @@slipthetrap Ah, I totally understand.
      Unfortunately, Anthropic's API isn't set up to connect directly to sites like Novelcrafter, so we are forced to use OpenRouter. I'm unsure of the specifics, but they'll let us know if it becomes an option.

      Huh. That's odd. I checked just now, and it is working. Someone signed up for the AI Toolbox a few minutes before you posted, and another signed up right after your post.
      If you are still having trouble getting access, let me know. Unfortunately, one person can't get it to come up no matter what she does. Hopefully, that isn't the case for you.
