    One of my all time favorite mountain bike videos, would love to see this one remade with the same riders newer bikes and same music. That would be awesome! How great it would be to ride there!

    How sad are people’s lives that they have to put down the efforts of others. These lads look like they’re having a great time. Not too mention they’re not to shabby riders either. Good work. Great vid!

    cool video, cool trails, sad to see all the deforestation.

    • @DaftNorthernLad
      @DaftNorthernLad 9 років тому +5

      It's a commercial forest so they have logging operations. While it's a bit unsightly it's a great example of a working business/community partnership... the trees will grow again.

    • @jimovo
      @jimovo 9 років тому +1

      These are plantation forests - they were planted specifically as a commercial crop. This is not the first time this area will have been logged. It all gets replanted and ~25 years from now will get chopped down again...

    • @tatertots8549
      @tatertots8549 6 років тому

      It's not really deforestation. That land will be used to grow more trees for building houses. It would suck if they were milling native bush but they're just using that land for sustainable pine milling and regrowth.

    If you were interested in taking a year of from studies, go abroad, and wanted to work and focus on XCO/XCM biking, to what part of the Australia would you go? :) Is there anywhere especially well suited with a big XC community? Great videos!! keeps one going through the cold and dark months up here in Sweden :D Cheers!

      I'm not an expert, but i would chose New Zealand over Australia any day for mountainbiking! Especially Rotorua and Queenstown are awesome to ride!

    • @artemisxw8708
      @artemisxw8708 9 років тому

      Do both, Western Australia has some great new trails, and now there are more trails going on at Mt Buller, Thredbo, Stromlo is good too, and Queensland has trails that are being built in Australia, they all offer something different and different conditions for example in Perth there is quite a bit of pea gravel, not everyone can ride it so it does develop your skills. NZ does have a lot of steep riding and I have been to Rotorua, and yes they do have lots of awesome trails, and they do get pretty gnarly but its so much fun!! If youre going to be travelling this far, might as well enjoy the best of both countries they have to offer.

      @jds24psu 8 років тому +3

      MsTokies It is only pine planation ( a weed here in NZ) certainly not native. It will be replanted and in 22 years will be cut again.

    I agree with the video and all of the comments below. Your all right the trails are too groomed and the riders are trying to hard. They must have paid quite a lot to get the Hobit to tag on with the other three.

  • @jd0614
    @jd0614 9 років тому +1

    Lol Westfield is right, all yu guys probably just ride cross coutnry or when theres a jump on a trail, you go to the side and say "maybe next time" hahahh. These traisl look like something i can go down on a road bike no problem, although it looks fun, there needs to be a little more obstacles to get your shocks, arms, and legs pumping. But maybe the ones complaining dont know what im talking about. TOO GROOMED

    I can appreciate the effort making these trails. But they are too groomed. Might as well ride on a road track. I miss the trails that still has natural terrain incorporated.

    • @FurryCrew
      @FurryCrew 9 років тому +1

      The Rotorua/Taupo area is like that. Well groom and well used trails. Come down to Wellington or Nelson area and it's a lot more tight switch backs, roots & rocks.

    • @johnemerson6526
      @johnemerson6526 9 років тому +1

      maybe we can switch spots, I love the groomed fast stuff with jumps, but where I live there are tons of rocks and roots and natural terrain without a tabletop to be seen

    • @RxMTB
      @RxMTB 9 років тому +1

      I was under the impression that flow tracks were meant to be groomed and taken care of. It's a different style of riding compared to downhill riding or back country trail riding.
      For the types of trail riding in this video, what tire pressures do you generally run front and back?
