He’s one of the most versatile drivers of his era. Not afraid to try something new and humble enough to let the experts show him how. Would be cool to see him in an NHRA event.
If you were to compete you’d join Danny Ongias and John Andretti as drivers that have done it in Indy, Cup, Sprint, and drag racing. Pretty cool company.
Did Kurt Busch ever race sprint cars? If so, he would be in that list.. and I did ‘t know that Ongias drag raced.. was it in one of the professional categories (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock)?

I think he was running in a Modified or Super Stock eliminator class. (Wasn’t going to embarrass himself running up against the big boys.. Sox and Martin, Mopar Missle and all the other Top Guns...Grumpy, Dyno...etc....lol)

Raw Talent a person that can get into anything and drive the wheels off and be competitive. I took his class at woodburn drag strip in Oregon and liked it so much went to Vegas and took it again. It's an awesome experience and Frank is a great human
You can tell that those dragsters were made to teach people and not just race, there's so much more headroom in them than a normal dragster.. almost makes me think I could fit in one. (I'm 6'10 and all torso)

Wow, so cool. Im happy just to have found this channel but for this to be the first video I found is ironically cool for me personally. I've been a sprint nut for along time. I helped on a local team and have done safety-fire,push truck stuff etc. A bucket list item for me was to someday turn some hot laps in a sprint car. In April that possibility came to a end, my neck broke all on its own, no trauma!!! I didn't even have neck problems, I went to er for low back pain???? So the realization that I am gonna have to sell my Harley and no chance of hot laps(bummer). In the meantime I started following Street/drag racing and have consumed myself with it to block out the world and its ill's. Now Im fantasizing about a butler built, hanz, and 1000c.i.BBC W/ twin 'f1' ProChargered door slammer attempt at the sound barrier. Lol. So great job on the being relatable thing- you nailed it!! Im looking forward to following this channel grow. Blessings
Trying to keep all that power straight a lot harder than you think😏. One thing about drag racing than any other Motorsports is you have to be perfect and can’t have any slight mistakes. As the race is seconds long so gotta be perfect
@@chrispile3878 Tony Schumacher was back racing in 2020. I'd love to see Tony Stewart try his hand at drag racing competitively. He is one of the few drivers i believe could make the transition. John Andretti was the only other driver i can think of that raced Indycar, Nascar and NHRA.

I loved Frank Hawley's school, I did it at Gainesville 25 years ago :o
