Idk if he’s a perfect human but I’ll never forgot the memories of his early fights and being a successful Irish sportsman. Was so motivating watching as an Irish teenager who was trying to become a footballer. I’m sure other lads can relate in someway
He’s certainly not a perfect human, but who cares. Why we put professional fighters, who’s job is hurting people for a living, on a pedestal is beyond me. Not every sports person or celebrity needs to be an inspiration to us all.
Big respect to Conor for backing Katie Taylor the way he is, she is the greatest Irish sportsperson of all time and deserves her big moment in Croke Park. Even McGregor himself definitely should’ve had that big moment in Croke Park by this stage. Conor isn’t a perfect person but his love for our country is something that makes us all happy

Conor always rubs me off the wrong way, but I know it’s mostly a show, a character. But this sort of interview genuinely makes me appreciate him as a fighter and a human. The guy is super smart, super well-spoken, carries an amazing contagious attitude.
I'm Irish and a big fan but it's hard sometimes to be a fan but then watch this reminds me of why I loved him in the first place

He’s a complicated guy who paved a specific road that nobody walked before him and hasn’t yet since. His rise was meteoric and he was young when it happened, as ridiculous as it seems to feel sympathy for a person with a lamborghini yacht, I always felt for him when he fell off and was clearly being crushed by the weight of it all. I was never a giant fan of his but I always got the vibe that he’s got a big heart, and having a big heart isn’t always a blessing

I was a fan in his come up, but he ended up alienating me since just before the Khabib fight. Seeing this made me smile. I hope he realizes that he is in a point in his career where bad press isn’t always good press anymore, and that this is the Conor we all fell in love with.

The problem with Connor isn't him, it's the fans who can't realize what he is about. He has always sacrificed his image for the draw he brings to the game. Look at any of his fights and you will see the respect he shows after fights. Even after Aldo and khabib he showed respect to them but his opponents got too caught up in their feelings. He might act like Rick flare to hype up fights, but in real life you see him help struggling families without credit and donate millions to charity. Love when he reveals his true self
Conor’s an ordinary man with flaws just like the rest of us. He is a fantastic hype man who generates great attention for his fight, but often crosses the line, which perhaps gives him a psychological edge. Best not to forget alongside contributions and charity work he’s made some massive missteps and mistakes outside the octagon. Let’s not pretend his true self is a saint
