In my humble opinion you should always start a review by playing the instrument for a bit and only then go to talking. People usually go on UA-cam reviews because they want to hear how the instrument sounds. We can read the specs on the website :)
So only start talking after you have given is at least a few seconds of playing..
But we like to cause a bit of Anarchy Luigi! Thanks for watching though
@@AnarchyInTheUkuleleTV haha! Thx for the reply.
By the way, I'm planning to buy the Hummingbird uke for my little daughter just because I own a couple of the Epiphone guitars and I imagine it will look cute the two of us playing instruments from the same brand together. :D
That will be so cute Luigi!!!
Yeah I tend to skip to the playing or just stop watching.
Thanks guys..😜….Always a pleasure to listen to your reviews….For over £100 you would expect better ukuleles than these … 😬😳 .. 🦋
Thanks! and we agree!
Great review; although my view on them are a lot more positive (I have both the Hummingbird and Les Paul). The Hummingbird is decent as an acoustic.. sure, not the loudest but it's not actually that bad for its price point vs other ukes in the budget. The Les Paul, if thought of as an electric ukulele or semi-acoustic, actually is OK as there aren't many that come as passive these days. Passive vs Active is up to preference of course; I definitely prefer passive as it takes batteries out of the equation and I can get all the EQ and effects I need using DI boxes and pedals. Even without those gadgets, passive pickups do OK through most amps (which have built in controls anyway).
But the decider for me was this (and perhaps a very niche situation):
It is not uncommon for me to gig with both a guitar and an ukulele.
There's something novel and satisfying about taking with the Hummingbird guitar + Hummingbird ukulele combo, or a Les Paul guitar + Les Paul ukulele combo :D
Looks like you've got the ultimate matching set with your Hummingbird guitar + Hummingbird ukulele combo or Les Paul guitar + Les Paul ukulele combo! Now you just need a Hummingbird hat and Les Paul shoes to complete the ensemble. 😉
Tinny is a good description. I was surprised how dead they were.
As always Paul ROCKS!🎉
So were we! Although they sound rather awesome put through a ridiculously oversized amp xD
Was about to buy this... Now I changed my mind 😂. Recommendations for a cheap tenor that has a great sound like a harp? 😂 And also looks classy...
Kiwaya or Anuenue laminate models
I would look at any of the flight tenors
2 to avoid 😮
by that I assume you mean me and KD ! its true we are best avoided !!
@@PaulMansellukulele 😂🤣😂
They could be so much better given their parentage :(
Yeah you'd think so...
you got the specs wrong ...the hummingbird has a solid spruce top and laminate mahoghany back and sides .a lttle over built .the les paul is not as good and mainly electric not so good acoustic.thanks
Thanks for the info!
