What I wanted to say is that the band Bon Jovi, ever since Sambora left, never managed to make very good music, a top song, a hit, you know. I would like the two to start composing again soon so that the good times come back and the good songs too, because these are very weak today.
Richie is sorely missed!!!!
Phil X is truly talented, a legend in his on way, while you can tell that Richie's bluesy feels are missing but Phil X doesn't leave any room for complains.
We all miss Richie, but I have to admit Phil does a great job too. If I could choose, ofc Richie.

Jon's voice may not be the same, but then again he is not 25 or even 30 when he first sang this, he is 58, let's accept that. Richie not being there is the big heart-break. Let's move on, no one remains the same. Enjoy the music!...Bon Jovi still sells 30 years on, most wannabe musicians have faded away, Jon, Dave & Tico are still together and that is more important.

Nice !! And Jon's voice is maybe still not perfect but better than last year.. My dream is at least once again hear chorus livin on a prayer with his high voice live along with Richie.. But anyway this guy is 58, tries his best and i have nothing but very big RESPECT for him and love him forever !!!

@ that was from a year ago on a video that 3 years old now. He can do better than that twang thing if they wanted to pitch correct that badly. It’s also common for musicians to sing with a recording of themselves. Idk why but they do
@@Jetrules231 Look at recordings from last April and you'll see he can't stay on pitch at all, even with the lowered key on a lot of songs.
Phil X is a very good guitarist, plays very well, makes a perfect cover ,,,,,,,,,,, but ,,, he is a cover guitarist. Sambora besides playing very very well, still creates beautiful rifs and solos on the guitar, and still composes excellent songs and lyrics. Since he left the band has never been able to create a successful song again. As for John's voice, I think he has improved a lot this year. Me and all the fans still hope in this life to see John and Richie playing together. Amen.
agree. Just not the same without Richie. The tone, the sound, the vocals.
Phil X is soooo much more than what this band is! visually Ritchie(with all due respect) cant hold a candle to Phils live performances google that shit and youll see!

I miss Richie too but Phil X is a phenomenal guitarist and got some serious pipes too!!! BonJovi has stood the test of time and still has an Amazing fan following!

Every presentation is different in terms of when and how it gets done. No point in saying it used to be better way back when. It is known John has had serious vocal problems. I am amazed he was able to sing this as well as he did. He is human after all. Tremendous artist!
So sad - but true. The power an the rock of his voice is gone as you could see in the last 10 years - it´s sadly only a whispering.
wherever Jon's voice is, i think it fits this song fine. He's not that of a 'young gun' anymore. And hearing this performance.. more tired and once again it's "all the same", "just to get home", "dead or alive" does it justice. I think.
Was cool to hear long notes. And still not that cool without mr. R. Sambora's "i still dri - i - iiive" and his trademark guitar part.

Baz they’ve tuned all of their songs down a half step since the 80s. That’s not new. The only songs they really tune down more than that are songs like In These Arms (down three half steps).

the problem for those 80, 90's rock singers, is that didn't had vocal coaches, and we were used to, to hear those high notes from him, with ritchie sambora backing him up, and it's a shame to hear the second voice thinking i fucked it up, because i had a high note

I dont understand why everyone is so focused on Jons voice. So if he does not look and sound like mick Jagger he gets bashed?! That so not fair. Jon did amazing tonight. And that is because they are not what you think of when it comes to rock n roll. After 30 plus years they still know how to rock out. And what everyone forgets is The I heart show was different this year. Instead of being in a room of people, it was tv scenes.
