To the people who talk shit about Ghost Stories: Chris Martin has said multiple times that it was an album he needed to get off his chest and that the group did not care about what critics would think of it. In my opinion, it's a pretty good album. If you don't like it, don't listen to it or buy it- simple. No need to spread your negativity about it.
I know right. People keep talking about how good the band used to be. I mean, to me they are still great. I'd rather listen to them for the rest of my life.

I expect one day an angel come to my life shining like a gold with very beautiful face and good mind and save me from all darkness and lead me to a spellbound and powerful life. I went to a concert recently, they played a lot of their old hits, including stuff like Politik or Sparks, but I have to say their new songs from the last album (that I wasn't super fond of) were great in that context too. I wouldn't say they have "evolved" but they certainly have expanded from a British melancholic sound to a universal band and sound who can nail both sad and hopeful music. Don't miss out if you can ever go see them.
