There is another opening and ending that caught my attention as well. Sentai Daishikkaku (In english, Go Go! Loser Rangers!) looks like a good anime to watch; a bit heavy for begginers but not as much as Berserk (I don't think there is any other anime as heavy as Berserk to be honest, besides Junji Ito perhaps) TLDR: React to Sentai Daishikkaku.

I believe most southeast Asian people liked the op and ed of kaiju, not sure for other asian countries, but from where i am it's blasted everywhere. What i hear the most is OneRepublic's ed. I think it's because it's an upbeat song, reminds me of road trip song like sunroof. I even told my friend that OneRepublic did this, at first he was just "Okay" then i told him it's by the guys who sang counting starts from 2015? 2016? Then he was jumping around saying "No way!!" But he liked the op more though he was just surprised that a known western band did an outro for an anime, same reaction to me too. That's why I'm confused about this hate the op and ed?? The one's hating on op ed is probably not even Asian people I'm pretty sure. Not saying that all Asian people liked it, but I'm sure majority of people liked the ed amd op.
They definitely banking on this anime to be a global success. Although with some recent Japanese demographics and musical taste, Yungblud and One Republic are bands I can definitely see being popular there (relatively). So it's a good choice either way. If the bluray of Kaiju No.8 don't have the OP in 60fps 4k, I'm gonna riot. Jokes, still looking forward to getting my hands on it though. Love myself some dope openings. Outside of this opening, I think another standout opening this season is the OP for Go, Go, Loser Ranger! Should check that one out.

The ED is made by the same band who did the ost for top gun maverick (aint worried)and the op is made by youngblud but its not their usual music style dont be fooled like ive been x) and btw this anime is the first in years who has a majority of non japanese ost and its really unusual

When I watched the first episode, and this opening came on and Yungblud starting to sing I knew instantly it was him and I raised from my chair cause how shocked I was.
I can give you some context about the title, but I that’s all I’ll give you. Kaiju are monsters in Japan that are giant. That’s the most basic definition. A common example is Godzilla, though I have not seen Godzilla yet in the anime.
6:22 The cut to the face reaction in the thumbnail is crazy. In a world where people will reuse an overexaggerated face in every thumbnail, this is not only cool as hell but refreshing.
Nobody already feels nostalgic to me even tho it was my first time hearing it. I think that's what they are going for. A nostalgic end of the day feels for the end song.
Show was fire and that outro hits crazy because it’s so different to other outros and intros and it’s so relaxing to rebalance after a pretty intense episode which is all of them
These songs are incredible. I can count on one hand the number of shows that I never skip the intro for. This is one of them. Check out Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song. Please! It's severely underrated and overlooked.
I think you are right with 11:12. I guess we will first know all these characters better and better, starting to like or to love them. And then ... death + destruction and the next thing you we will see is this ending with happy music and the pictures of the characters who are dead now.

Aside from the Overlord season 1 ED (L.L.L.) This is the only other anime where I actually prefer the ED. The art is neat and it's got such a chill vibe.
The OneRepublic song has what’s called a hook melody. At first you think” it’s not that great” but then you realize your randomly humming and singing the song all day it stays with you. The actual single version is better in my opinion though I do love the acoustic version the single version just has more oomph to it.
