Thank you for this intel!
You bet!
That was good. Cheers.
Next time you will have to cleanse your palate properly during a wine tasting, you’ll need foods and drinks on hand that serve the purpose of neutralizing the flavors between each tasting.
Awesome, Great job. I would probably get drunk testing all of them
Is it closed during COVID-19 pandemic?
According to their website budounooka.com/ they are closed at least until March 7
I probably sound like a hopeless, annoying wine snob, but... this hurt just watching. There *are* reasons wine tasters do all that weird sniffing, sloshing, slurping and, as another commenter (Paul Florida) said, you cleanse your palate. I wonder if there's anybody who could have helped you with advice, which is what a good winery would do. Also, for the love of Bacchus, don't taste too many! Your palate just shuts down. Don't taste willy nilly, try some sort of order (white to red, "smaller" to "bigger").
LOL you do sound like a wine snob! You said it first :)
I definitely understand the reasoning for all the odd ways of properly tasting wine. This was just a fun afternoon of drinking for us. Unfortunately neither Talia nor I spoke much Japanese, so it was hard to communicate.
Oh BTW, that other commenter is my dad :)
@@TonyFlorida Unabashed wine snob. Ever since I learned it's actually bloody FUN! :-D Only thing I can't get down is the spitting thing... :-| My wife does it (she has the actual talent - I always tell her to do it professionally, but she refuses ... because then it would be a job and no longer for fun).
