I just saw him do this too at Wrigley Field in Chicago earlier this month. So awesome there too-- but this one is definitely hot! Love you Bruuuuuuucce!!!
I am a retired Recon Marine, I came home a confused man from a war I didn’t understand. Bruce’s music spoke to me and got me through the tough times, he pretty much saved my life. I have seen him 38 times, there is no better live performer. Period.
Why did I never realize Bruce Springsteen was one of the greatest musicians of all time? For some I never thaught I'd like Springsteen but this might be one of the greatest preformances I've ever seen he's fantastic, and I really admire his guitar style. I've got hours of his stuff to get familiar with now!
He started out as a guitar wiz before becoming a singer and then a song writer. Most folks agree his live performances were best on the 1978 tour- playing each show like it was his last ever.
All you kids out there today. TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT A REAL ROCK AND ROLL ARTIST. You GAGA and BEIBER FANS LOOK. WATCH SEE what a real rock artist is. Someone who can write, play and sing. THAT IS A REAL ARTIST!
There is no better intro into any song. this tour had to be killer. Just watch the music pour out of his body. He is feeling this not playing it. He feels this and his arms and hands just create magic. This is the boss at his best!!!!
was a great tour......btr tour better, but darkness more intense.......mark of a great artist is that when you hear him play it is like he is playing the song for the first time, same thing in film etc. he is a rare talent good guy too met him twice down at the shore in 78 and in 84
Compared to the Jimmy Page & Jimi Hendrix and the Gary Moore's of the world just to name a few, Springsteen will always be down in the cellar for a very good reason lol! I like Bruce and he has his moments but comparatively his guitar playing is very simplistic.
@@darrendonahue2797 "There's so many good guitar players in Asbury Park, I had to do something different, so I went back and wrote more songs" - Springsteen
32 frickin yrs ago. 1978 i just started my senior yr in high school. This man was played at every kegger and pot party i was at. 32 FRICKIN YRS AGO! Damn i wanna go back life was so fun in the summer of 78. Had this beautiful chick that lived on the bay and we water skied all summer long. 32 Frickin yrs and the man still plays with the passion he had then. Rock God Thank you Mr. Bruce. Thank you. You will alway be a part of my youth forever! Thank you
You get your money's worth when you go to see Bruuuuuuce. Proud that he is a New Jersey native who still lives in the Garden State. I was lucky enough to see him several times in NJ, NYC, Long Island & Philly when Clarence Clemons was in the E. Street Band. 💟 Both Clarence & Danny will 4ever be missed. Always RIP
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Darkness is still my favorite album by far of Springsteen's unmatchable catalog. But that's just me. But tell me, anyone, who can still perform this song in the same way like he can NOW? NO ONE!
My first show, Largo, Maryland, 1978. That's where I got on the bus for Bruce! Here you see why: three hours of manic energy and the greatest songs ever.
No better version than this one!!! Theres more going on in this song than a Brooklyn neighborhood on a Saturday night! Thank you Bruce for the memories!!!💔
When I watch Springsteen's concerts of this period, I understand what a great guitar player he is. Why doesn't he do guitar solos like in this performance anymore?
Rolling Stone ranked Prove It All Night, recorded 9/19/1978 at The Capitol Theater in Passaic, as the greatest live version of any song at a Bruce Springsteen concert. This version in Landover is almost identical to that and any difference isn't worth mentioning. I was at both shows and a better person for the experience.
when i was a little kid we were over at my parents' friends' place and their older daughter had a copy of the Born To Run LP leaning against the stereo in the living room. i laid on the floor staring at the cover while the adults sat around talking. i had no idea who bruce springsteen or clarence clemons were but everything about that LP cover fascinated me, right down to the wood grain of the Telecaster
Toliko mi se ovo svidja, da neznam šta da napiše.Šta god pisala bilo bi premalo i za klavir, za gitaristu za njegov glas, za muziku iza kompletno muzičko delo.
This song...Brings me back to when I heard in 1978 or 1979 on the radio when I was a little girl. One of my favorite BS. Never a huge fan, but I live BS because his songs tell STORIES. Stories you can conjure up a picture to, like you do when reading a book. Timeless stories
lo scorso maggio il Boss ha offerto una splendida replica di questa versione di Prove it all night a Napoli, Piazza Plebiscito. Un trionfo di bellezza, furore e nostalgia. Lunga vita a Bruce!!!
Bruce played Landover twice in 1978. One was in August and the second was September or October. I was lucky enough to be at both shows. Does anyone know which show is represented here?
02 Nov, actually. My second concert EVER. Awestruck then, still in disbelief all these years later. HUGE TY to whoever preserved this and to the uploader.
@boners2nite Maybe everyone's too blown away to say anything; just standing there with our jaws on the floor. THE quintessential song on THE quintessential tour. Bruce's '78 tour took no prisoners. He wrote and released Darkness, not looking for fame or fortune, but greatness. He then set out on this tour to Prove It (All Night).
Apc467 nailed it! Never got it til I had the gang, which wifey hates that I call it that, but it takes work, have to prove it all night. It took all night to conceive the gang, that's proving it;-)
The guitar intro by bruce is just omg i can't really describe it
That's why they call him THE BOSS !
Bruce's best guitar work....
Best jam on his way up to top of the charts.. Prove it all night..fabulous favorite..😂
I just saw him do this too at Wrigley Field in Chicago earlier this month. So awesome there too-- but this one is definitely hot! Love you Bruuuuuuucce!!!

Great! I love it
His is magical for sure! Still the best in concert ever!
Bruce is a Real Person; Real as the Day is Long.
If anyone ask you what rock & roll is, show them this clip! It don't get any better!

RIP Danny & Clarence
YES!
At 5:10 it goes from great to just plain FCKN BADASS!!!
Why he's called the Boss...
Clint - four months later, and it still is not a great solo.
The best version ever, the first guitar note sounds like a machine-gun fire in the soul

lntimidating XBL Yeah Dick Wagner(rip)& Steve Hunter are killing it man. Fan-tas-tic!!
This tour was killer, saw it at The Spectrum in Philly twice, unforgettable intensity.
The version from Winterland during this tour (12/15/78) is better… the guitar solo is amazing…
Danny Federici , Miss you PHANTOM! The heart and soul of the E STREET BAND.
Me too miss Phantom Dan
Bruce Fucking Springsteen! Oh my god! what a genius!!! 10:14 'til the end! O.o'
Ridiculously underrated guitar player.
Anybody who has seen him live knows different though.

Obama famously said that he became President because he couldn't be Bruce Springsteen.

Found him and the band in 1975. He's still in my heart. Over 40 years later. Unbelievable. Thanks Bruce.

Great version. Nobody like Bruce live, particularly in that era.
It's easy to forget that bruce initially was a guitar player...

Truth!
On the day that Bruce was born God was at its best mood..
Bruce played this solo at Fenway park, August 15, 2012. Amazing!
This is why, this is the boss. completely magical.

I LOVED the piano intro he did during this era for Prove it All Night.
The greatest and best version by far the energy just flows from start to end been a fan since 1975 and this is in my top ten ..
Imagine 3- 4 hours of this!
Goosebumps, incredible.
Rock n Roll peaked RIGHT THERE!
Almost as great as the performance, are the comments. Thank you, Bruce, for the last 41 years.

Before The King there whas nothing after The King came The Boss and after that there is nothing.
Shit, never knew he could play like that.

Have seen many versions of Bruce playing this song over the years, this was the Band's greatest performance of this song - period

It was after finishing this tour that Bruce suffered his first case of major clinical depression resulting in him beginning therapy and taking meds.
great comment ginmoy--music reached it's zenith during this tour--how can anyone say this, and be right--yet I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone talks about Bruce's guitar or the Professor's piano, but let's not overlook Clarence's triangle
Better show than the official released Houston show!!
The singing is better in Phoenix, the intro is the best here, the intensity is the best in Atlanta and at Winterland........
