Your missing out. Its way easier ten you think. Mixing the physical exercises allows the blood to wash out of the used muscles. I went from 1 pull up to 40 in just 4 weeks using running. Ide do my pull up workout and get to my limit. Then run and Everytime I pass the pull up bar ide nail a round of my max pull ups. I felt refreshed and energized each time as if I didn't even do my pull up workout previously. And I was not sore afterwards. Now my goal is to see what my max pull ups will be if I try to do more every week.
Hello, I just want to say THANK YOU. Y'alls adviced helped me achieve my goal of finishing the 2019 NY HALF marathon.(2:19:20 @ 10:38 pace per mile) Thank you once again for making this videos. I am going to continue training for my next half marathon and please keep the advice coming. I Appriciate y'all 😁👍
Congratulations on your race, Abraham! If you're looking to follow a training program that maps everything out for you from running to strength training, we have a Half Marathon Program in our Training Club --> therunexperience.com/training-plans/
Did my London Marathon ( 1st) this Sunday. And I have been doing your cold weather warm up routines for all my training early morning runs. Thank you. Xx
So amazing! Definitely one of my everyday go-tos before I starting my run! The cardios in this warm up is so important! Keep warming up and drilling the run!
Another great video, some stretches I'd not seen before - the squat to good morning and boot strappers, they look great! I'll incorporate them into my warm-up, it's cold here in the UK!
I start Track and Field practice for the Olympics tomorrow morning at 10am on the Track!! I can't wait!!😁😁❤️🏃 This will be my 5th year of running!! I'm going to start doing these warm-ups on regular basis (3x a week!!)
Hi Holly, at 52 I decided to running again after 20 yrs. I swim almost 12 months through the year, mostly open water and 3 to 4 months in pool during winter. Normally, I walk every day for 45 mins however running requires different strength.. What would be your suggestion for people like me ? What should be the ideal Heart Rate for beginners ? PS I have started running with Intervals; walking and running combination..I do not get any medical trratment but as aı do carry carry extra 10 kg, dont want to mess up with my knee while running, Thanks…
We have some follow-along runs up on the channel! Here are a couple to get you started... 20 Min Follow-Along Endurance Running Workout ua-cam.com/video/XWRG5T9ofKM/v-deo.html 15 Min Follow-Along Hill Workout ua-cam.com/video/YfT-U7dnEfQ/v-deo.html
@@KC-zy5jy I run with regular running shoes. I adapt my cadence and the way I run depending on the weather. It's quite hard to run in the snow when there is more than 2-3 inches on the ground. When it's very cold sometimes I have to run on icy ground and I have to go quite slow and leave my foot as close to the ground as I can. When spring and summer come I feel like Superman because I can go a lot faster :)
Is there anything wrong with running in the cold with just some simple calf and quad stretches? I find the faster I get to it, usually the better I feel.
If that works for you, keep doing it! Generally, though, a thorough warm-up makes us less injury-prone and more likely to maintain better form on our runs
I'm going to Toronto next week. Is it ok if I run in the snow, which i really want to, in the street? Never had been exposed to such extreme cold weather like Canada's. Pls guide.
As long as the streets aren't too icy, definitely! Just make sure to wear plenty of layers so you can adjust during the run, and bring a hat and gloves and you should be good to go!
What’s the reasoning behind choosing different warmups in cold weather vs. warm weather? Are the cold weather ones a little harder in order to get you warmer?
Hey Ryan! Good question. It's certainly more of a shock to the system if you're going from the warmth of your house/car to the frigid air of the outside. We see peoples' run form suffer in the first mile or so as they naturally shorten their stride and position to fight the cold. When you're nice and heated up before heading out, you can run well from the first step.
@@TheRunExperience For sure! Thank you for responding! I hear what you’re saying, but I guess my curiosity rephrased would be: why wouldn’t you do this same warmup if it were warm out? Is it too much in warm weather?
@@fowlerryant There are a lot of warmup videos and you just gotta choose One that feels good to you, dont make it much of a deal. Supposedly you are going to need more warming workout if its cold than if its warm, you could injure yourself. Also depending on what type of Run you going to do, how long specially this Will determine how your workout hás minimally to be
Thank you for the video, went running this morning and I didn’t warm up, just jumped right into it......realized that I’m not 17 anymore and I can’t just jump into it, I need to warm up
Great warm-up video, but there's no way I'm doing burpees before I get out and run though. lol
Try them; you'll thank yourself for doing them.

Thanks Coach Holly! I'm getting back into running after a 2 month hiatus...this is what I needed in cold Nebraska!
I'm in Lincoln. 6 yrs ago I told my wife I would run a 5k with her. 2019 is the year and my first 5k will be #HonorTheFallen5k.

Love this ... now that winter is here... very pleased to have found this routine...
Glad you like it!
Love this warm up before a snowy run in Estonia!
I love it, I plan on running outside toward the end of the month, it's very cold up here, but I am tired of the indoor track. Thanks
Coach you are fantastic
Nice work!!! That's what i was looking for better warm-up for the few days we have cold here in Athens ... Thanks...
It's the only run warm up I do all year around actually..Thank you
Attacking the great outdoors today for the first time since around Fall. 30 degrees out 😭 Pray for me!
We are from Texas, so the coldest we run in is 45 degrees! It only gets that cold like 3 times a year though, so we aren't very immune to the cold!
Thank you so much, ma'am! You've helped a lot with my aerobic endurance. Keep posting videos!
Another great video, some stretches I'd not seen before - the squat to good morning and boot strappers, they look great! I'll incorporate them into my warm-up, it's cold here in the UK!
Wonderful! Hope you enjoy them!
@@TheRunExperience Having the range of motion to do so, should I go deeper (all the way down) at the bottom of the squat for these three exercises?
I still see green foliage out there. NOT COLD ENOUGH.
"Cold weather running" but not even any frost on the ground. 😂
hahahaah!
The Run Experience is based in San Francisco California...Needless to say, that explains their different definition of cold 😆

You're welcome Judith!
Excellent Coach Holly you look frozen 🥶 Great advice 👍
Haha it was legitimately cold the day this was filmed!
In the UK you would be definitely just be warming up for a spring/summer run lol :-D
Great warm up video , new to the channel and a fairly new runner for about 6 months , loving the content on this channel 👍🏻
Great Warm up! Thanks for posting!
Thank you Ma'am Holly and I do enjoy you tutorials.
Could you please make a video on indian specific diet for the runners?
Awesome job, I'm just away to head for a run and it's -2 out so I will give this a go,
Thanks
Perfect timing! :)
Thank you. I love your follow along videos, will try this one tomorrow.
I’m very grateful!
Yes it's cold here, about 3c but once I get running or running up the hills, the cold doesn't bother me, just put some gloves on for cold hands.
thanks for video , need some after running version
Want to thank you for this vid. I use it every morning as a part of my normal routine 👍
Love it!! Keep it up, Heather.
Holly is my favorite coach!!😍😍😍
Is snowing here now! I am taking the garmin for quick run1 Thanks! :D
Wonderful! This was totally what I needed! Can you also do the after run stretch or such? ❤️
Glad you liked it! Try out this 5-minute follow-along for a post-run cooldown --> ua-cam.com/video/CWOq-PL396I/v-deo.html
The Run Experience thank you 🙏 This was better than the one I have used.
you are the best
Always great content😃
Thank you.
Great video, thank you!
Thanks, Linda!
Great video! What's a good rule of thumb as far as time between the warmup and the run. Under five mins? I love the wandering dog 😂😂
This was really helpful! Thanks :)
Thanks Dan!

-21 (celsius) this morning here in Canada. Nice crispy snow on the ground. It's the best time to run :)
Brrr! You definitely know how to embrace winter!
Where I live it doesn’t snow. Do you need special shoes to run in the snow? Do you slip or is it hard to balance?

I am back in my town from the city I live in(which is not as cold) and its about -25 in the morn. I completely understand how you feel.

If this is cold. I must be living inside a deep-freezer. lol
