They are so subtle and beautiful together. I love how they have been written. I mean its Sydney that opens the restaurant for Carmy. I hope the viewers see how crucial she is to why things are working in Carmy's world which is a mess right now. She is part of the future he is trying to build. Some fans were so certain they'd be only platonic...but no, Carmy is into Sydney. He sees her value. But I don't know if he feels worthy of her yet.
