Yes, just when he was starting to list the medications that can CAUSE a LWBC. Thanks a lot for the info we didn’t get, Fox hosts! Wait, why am I surprised? 🤔
My weight-training regime includes squats and for my age I do well to maintain a healthy muscle mass. I would have thought that by squatting regularly this would hasten the formation of white blood cells (as they are exclusively manufactured in the femur bone). To my surprise today, my GP informed me that I had a low count. Now, after hearing the first 5 minutes of this talk, I have come to understand it .. I have Ross River virus where the symptoms are still apparent.
My wbc count has been low since going vegan. This indicates a lower level of inflammation due to eating many more fruits and vegetables and beans all of which are high in antioxidants.
My wbc was 4.2, but neutrophils came out at only 1.62 and 1.67 a month apart. Doc says fine in normal range but I often see range starting at 1.8 or 2. I'm holding on to the idea that lower neutrophils can actually be good normal for some people indicating low inflammation. I read a study that people that took up exercise and increased there oxygen capacity had lower neutrophils. Also neutrophils are lower in the morning. Still I'd love to get it out of my head the idea there would be something wrong with my bone marrow. Will retest again in a while, afternoon next time!
Did you end up re-testing? I had my blood test done today (just a regular checkup since last one was years ago), and I have only 3.2 WBC and only 1.18 neutro. I am tripping honestly and I just don't know why.
Check out nutrition facts white blood cell video on UA-cam. Mine is regularly around 3.9. Low is ok..... that's the message and he explains it well in the video I mentioned
@@76booge That is what I thought too, that maybe this is 'normal' for 'me', but if some yeats ago it was high (7.2 specifically) shouldn't that mean that 3.2 is not normal?
@@MastroOfficial I'm no doctor, my doctor said mine is fine and nothing to worry about. Maybe you've made changes to your health for the better so have less inflammation ? A doctor would be the best person to run it by. There's other blood numbers they check along with just the white blood cell count that tells the whole story
@@76booge Yeah, unsure. Keep in mind though that yours were 3.9, not 3.2. only 0.7 difference but when the numbers are low, 0.7 is actually a fairly big difference. The rest (red blood cells, platelets, haematocrit etc) were all fine. We will see, I will repeat the test in a few weeks I guess. Thanks for the take.
A low WBC is a good thing. A high WBC, even when in normal reference range, is a marker for inflammation. WBC is a strong predictor of mortality, with higher numbers associated with higher death rate. In a healthy person, WBC may be 4 or 5, but will quickly rise if needed to fight a disease. I got all this info from the video titled "What is the Ideal White Blood Cell Count?" at the Nutrition Facts site. However, from my own experience, if you have a high fever, and a WBC below 4, then you are very sick.

Most people who have low WBC are vitamin deficient. You need to consume a wide range of whole foods. Eggs, meat, whole grains, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds, etc. Eliminate processed food and vegetable oils.
Doctors give you antidepressants … which might be the reason you now have low WBCs. And now they do the bloodwork a year later and discover you have low WBCs.
The NYC accent, hate to say, but it makes him sound like he belongs in a Scorsese film, not giving advice on white blood cells. nation was explained like he's talking to a kindergartener which is kind of condescending, which goes along with how the medical profession views it's public as being ignorant. primary care doctor should work with the patient they're familiar with to figure out what could be causing it and try a few things before referring out. vegetarians for example are known to produce less blood cells in general red and white.. and if somebody is dieting and vegetarian it can wreak havoc on your blood cells. They mention TB .. but don't tell you which type would lower blood cells. I'm thinking military TB which is a bloodstream infection.. but I'm not sure if you can have military TB, without having pulmonary. the thing about TB is unless it presents as pulmonary doctors in America are completely ignorant and negligent to diagnosing it. when in fact up to 25% of TB manifests outside of the lungs and never presents as a cough.
My doctor said I should see a hematologist. I'll call CNN instead. My doctor said my white blood cell count was low. Yes. It could be a side effect. Anti depressants messed up my health. It caused me to have gastritis, heart palpitations, and nerve issues. I always feel very weak now. Every time I get blood work done, my WBC is low. I think I may have developed an infection or autoimmune disease. I always eat healthy, plenty of high quality meats and vegetables. The only thing that changed was the antidepressants.
My white blood cells are 3.50 as well. I have had this low count for years. My experience is if you go to the doctors looking for answers or trouble, you will put yourself through a lot of unnecessary tests and alot of wasted time. Be Happy. Laugh as much as possible. And Love deeply.
Judging by my own health I would say very much so. Unfortunately therevare so many deadly diseases connected with this that it could bankrupt you in testing alone and the treatment can be as deadly as leaving things alone so they will rarely ever tell you about that. Most just take a wait and see attitude to see which disease you have.

I have opposite issue I have high white cells
For a while
Lucky
Means you have chronic inflammation or infection
I was taking a lot of vitamin b5 for such a long time. Overdose of b5 imbalances other B vitamins such as b6 which help with the production of WBC…
Thanks for posting

Free samples advertising sucks they just want all your Info what a wast of time play the darn video my life depends on it!
My doctor said I should see a hematologist. I'll call CNN instead.
My doctor said my white blood cell count was low. So, I left without asking anything about it and wrote a note to CNN asking if I should be worried. Am I doing the right thing? Should I listen to my doctor? I mean, why would my doctor send me to a specialist? Is this a trap and they are going to steal my body? Please CNN. What do I do?
hahaha
my sister is having the same problem but am afraid
Lmao you joking right?!
Blood cell qty for a human
These are certified physicians bozo ....does it really matter if it's featured on Cnn?.....Its quite obvious you voted for genius Trump, and Fox news is your given authority on most pertinent subjects, given The commentators on Fox at least past a 7th grade education barely....ha..The explanations re low w cell counts on this narrative are quite consise and thorough, unlike your comment........
So anti-depressant medication can cause a low wbc?
Mine is on the low side . I came off antidepressants 3 months ago but still getting sweats
Guys my lymphocytes is 11%. Do I have to worry?
mine is 47 i should be the one worrying
@@k12mel38 why is it worse if it is higher?
Phil Coutinho the average range is I believe 20-40 correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like it’s worse if it’s higher bec I think low is only temporary
@@k12mel38 well I started working out since then hope we get to our norm
Having lower or higher than a normal range which is 20-40% is kinda problem. Btw i have 48% of lymphocytes.
Does antidepressants cause wbc to be lower?
Attiya Khan good question
crissyloveskars
Are you gonna answer?
80's Nostalgia Guy I think that what’s happened to me,,,,, how are you now?
Personally thinking yes
Why he didn’t let that other guy talk. Some people just gotta be seen 😂 I wanted to how low is low. Because he’s the doctor. 👨🏼⚕️
my white blood cell is 3.54 !! do I have to worry
?
My advice is if you have to wonder if you have anything to worry about, you don't. Don't go looking for problems. ❤
My white blood cells are 3.50 as well. I have had this low count for years. My experience is if you go to the doctors looking for answers or trouble, you will put yourself through a lot of unnecessary tests and alot of wasted time. Be Happy. Laugh as much as possible. And Love deeply.
@@adamisaac4685 OMG GOD give this answer specially for me
@@adamisaac4685 well Said
Judging by my own health I would say very much so. Unfortunately therevare so many deadly diseases connected with this that it could bankrupt you in testing alone and the treatment can be as deadly as leaving things alone so they will rarely ever tell you about that. Most just take a wait and see attitude to see which disease you have.
Can you produce white blood cells without tonsils?
Yes
My wbc is 7.94 normal range is 4-10. Should i worry that its close to 10?
Normal enjoy
I am 3.31 wbc ?

My wbc is 4900 is it low.. my doctor told me that my wbc is very low
VJ TV I don’t really think it’s low. Depending on the lab, the range may vary.
It can be between 3.8 and 10.8 or 4.1 and 10.5 if I am not mistaken. For what I understand, yours is 4.9. Therefore you are in range
Not Too low cause mine is only 2.0
crimsontears17 mine was 2.7 but I don’t have any symptoms I wonder what could cause this? Is it my diet well I haven’t been drinking a lot of water though she said should come back in a month for a recheck
I'm 2.9k. Mine is low. Normal should be between 4k to 5k approx. I haven't gone to the hematologist, but i'm afraid it's because i went vegan since almost 2 months ago.
@@pateze9194 Did you find out?

Hey what's the reason please reply
Benign ethnic neutropenia is a condition of low WBC IN BLACK PEOPLE.
This is normal and in some malaria’s it is beneficial.
Naw mine is normal
Mine is always low like 3.1 and I NEVER get sick even when I’m around sick people!! 🤷🏾♂️
Dont forget benign ethnic neutropenia
I’m glad I’ve found out about this recently cus I was freaking out! I never get sick (didn’t get a common cold all 2023 and was around sick ppl a lot) and feel fine!! All my other markers are good
@TrizzleTV if all your other counts are fine i wouldn't worry. My netrophill count has been 1.2 - 1.5 for past 6 years. All my other counts are fine. I do get commom cold a few times a year but recover really quickly. If you are worried best to get checked by a doctor
