      I’m getting 27-28 mpg …80% city …20% highway.
      I love this little jackrabbit around town. I’m burning 93 octane and I swear it makes it quicker.

    CVT, 8-speed, and 10-speed transmissions are more complicated and are more likely to break. I prefer a well-proven 6-speed in all cases.

  • @ceciliaabdalla4954

    If you want long term reliability 6 speed is the way to go, it still gets great mpg for an AWD suv

    My Forester with the somewhat high profile is effected by the wind quite a bit, the fuel economy goes up a lot with the wind at my back and goes down substantially with a head wind.

      Any car will do great in this way of testing (highway), the real test is in city, and this car will only get 19-21mpg, with normal traffic.

      The reason why the CX5 gets excellent highway fuel economy when comparing to its competitors in the same class is because of its cylinder deactivation feature. The 4 cylinders engine can deactivate 2 cylinders when it cruises on the highway. I own a 2018 non turbo CX5 it gets highway fuel economy above 36 mpg on long road trip at 60+ mph.

    I’m getting 27-28 mpg combined…80% city, 20% highway. I think that’s pretty good. The worst I got in in-town driving only was 24 mpg.
    I’ve been burning 93 octane and I’m convinced it’s quicker and gets better mileage. Even though the consensus is that this 2.5 aspirated is lacking on the highway, I haven’t felt it to be an issue. Around town, it can be a jackrabbit with the way it’s geared and that torque from a high compression motor.
    It’s a blast to drive…I love it!

    I took a 700 mile trip in my 2019 F150 5.0 and got over 30 mpg going 75 to 80. So RAV4 it is. lol

  • @briancarroll8124
    @briancarroll8124 Рік тому +3

    It also gets less gas mileage because it’s a naturally aspirated engine. Which is a good thing!!!! The turbo engines get a couple MPG’s more, but the engine will not last as long

    I am getting 33.5 city on a good day, even though my 2024 GX is just shy of 200 miles, so it isnon it break in phase and during Winter in Canada. But traffic is light for the most part in my city and I go to the office at 6 AM when there is almost no traffic.

      That's rough for a small suv. My '15 Canyon that I traded in averaged 17mpg in flat Florida and had a 21 gallon gas tank.
      My '22 Cx5 Carbon Non-turbo is averaging close to 26mpg. That's mostly in town and around 30 on the hwy. I cruise just under 70mph and live in a hilly area now.
