No fair. The Russians didn't make their own epic trailer for this offensive like what Ukraine did.
LOL. like for joke
The way this has been way more successful than the Ukrainian one
The Russians are working on military strategy, while the Ukrainians are working on media strategy.
Shhhhhhh
ukraine should have mounted a massive defensive for this summer canpaign but instead they underestimated the russians its mind boggling to underestimate a nuclear power but another to just straight up think that western tech is enough to beat a numerical superiority the russians have
Ukrainians built very powerful border fortifications mostly on paper and then - money disappeared.
Yeah this reeks of embezzlement and corruption.
And now that the new addendum to the mobilisation law (allowing criminals except the worst of the worst to be conscripted) means that however was arrested for corruption will probably get out of jail and use his connections to flee

And best Kharkiv and also Kherso
For almost no loses we did see true breakhtru

Roughly about 200 square kilometers. Ukraine captured about 250 square kilometers in the month of June alone, so it's getting there but not quite. We will see over the next few weeks.
Seminskiev : " Anything past the Dnipro is of no strategic value "
Biden: "Anything other that Crimea is of no strategic value".
I've learned from military pornographers, incels, and actual fascists on 4chan that this narrative is about the destruction they force Russia to do to every settlement. Years ago, in previous major towns being assaulted, they shrugged off Russian advances by saying there was nothing but rubble left for Putin. They were convinced Ukraine could do this for years, while Russians wasted men and equipment.
So when they say "no strategic value", they really seem to speak of the usefulness of a settlement for defense, for UAF to simply step back and compel Russia to exhaust itself to destroy the next location, where RF will not claim any "real" victory by capturing garbage.
These people exemplify the ideologically-driven war; they don't put value in something other than how it will work against their enemy. Once you understand this, you can see how it drives all US/Western foreign policy. Specifically, you can see why the US succeeded to use Ukraine against Russia; there was similar ideology with converging interest.
Denys must be losing his mind lol

The territorial brigades in the Kharkiv area were full of guys who had paid to be assigned to those brigades so they wouldn't have to fight.
@Jim-Tuner The Russians captured members of Kraken who very much volunteered to join that unit.
@@ailinofaolin8897 It depends on which part of Kraken the men were from.
Before the recent russian offensive, there were small raiding units in the Kharkiv area that were part of "Kraken". They were used in operations on the other side of the Russian border.
The main Kraken unit was moved within the last couple days from the Chashiv Yar area to the Kharkiv area to stabilize the front.
@@Jim-Tuner Kraken was around the Nu York area during the Ochertyne breakout
The Ukrainians have made the mistake of relying too heavily on NATO. NATO is fighting the cold war with cold war tactics and equipment. The Russians are adapting and modifying their kit and tactics to deal with the uniqueness of this war.
We have just started adopting - 95% of suggestions are not used yet
Its worse than that NATO is fighting Desert Storm

I'd argue that Russia is still fighting using WW1 & 2 tactics and strategies. Worked then, appears to be working now.

In Robotyne, the Ukrainians fought all summer and broke through the outer observation line reaching the main defense line where progress stopped. In Kharkiv, the Russians have in days already moved past the prepared Ukrainian defense line (such as it was).

Back row troops. They are not tied up to any area so they stay relatively mobile. Ukriane sends conscripts to the frontline and keeps radicals to control the situation. They only involved if no other choice.
I bet they show up, announce that the defensive fortifications are inadequate, and then back on out of there as they’ve done before.
People who say ukraine will win are you normal? Russia has large reserve armies all over the country, hundreds of tactical bombers, ballistic missiles, thousands of idle tanks, and half a million soldiers in reserve. If Russia wanted to end the war, it would have ended it within a month. Then the whole of Ukraine would turn into the Gaza Strip.
They had these when they first invaded as well, and yet they still retreated.

One has to wonder just what resources the sacked general in the North was actually given by Zelenski and his sycophants. It is not easy to lay a minefield without mines, but hey, why not just blame the man on the front from a nice safe place. Perhaps the Ghost Minelayer of Kviv could have helped out?
That is true, but only partially.
The money and resources, instead of building even modest fortifications, found their pockets, no doubt.
Even with the hands of soldiers and the limited machinery they have, one could build decent fortifications.
But who needs those, if you could sell the fuel and keep the money?
Also there are dozens more methods to gain profit while commanding a military force. Corruption finds many ways.

Great video. Consider using a thicker/heavier line weight for the polygons showing daily territory gains. Also a different arrow line style (maybe dashed) for projected advances would make the videos easier to understand.
Thanks for the update!
This is a very strange war, fighting is going on only half of the territory of the borders of Ukraine and Russia, imagine in World War II Germany attacked Poland only through Koenigsberg.
Wouldn’t completely agree. There are frequent artillery duels and skirmishes along the border.
The ways of war have also changed. Armies became smaller and more specialised.

Russia did exactly what a force with superior numbers should do against a force struggling to keep its forces in the field due to the lack of manpower: they pulled the front to be longer. Even if the northern breakthrough does not bring miracles and massive speedy breakthroughs (it might), Ukraine no longer seems to have reserves, it needs to pull troops from engagements in the Eastern front, this is very detrimental to them and speeds up their exhaustion and saps their morale.

Why in your map Donetsk or Lugansk oblasts are divided into some subregions?
@Weeb Union I respectfully disagree with your comparison between the current Russian push towards Lyptsi and the Ukrainian push towards Robotyne. I would argue that a fairer comparison would be with the Ukrainian push in the Vremivka (Staromaiorske/Urozhaine) salient. That is because both were overstretched and unfavorable positions to hold and, as such, not that important.
1. Russia hardly fortified that area
2. The depth is still similar but Russian advanced near Kharkiv have much more width making it significantly more succesful
@@WeebUnionWU The Vremivka salient had a width of ~25km from Levadne to Novodonetske. The Lyptsi front has ~15 km, though if you add the central and Vovchansk front, it's way more (~40km in total). But even so, I still think the conditions of the battlefield are more similar to the Vremivka salient, even if the Ukrainians had some more fortifications in this case. Or am I totally underestimating the fortifications in the Hlyboke and Lukiantsi areas?

🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫 shhhhhhh
Just wondering why Russia didn’t open the Kharkov front sooner? I think they would have had fewer casualties down south and ended the war sooner!?
Because they are properly training their new troops unlike their adversaries
Don't think they had the capability earlier. The FABs are making a massive impact. They are now very accurate and cheap especially compared to western equivalents.
@@aj7803 Good point
@@docchiro100 Another good point
I believe Russia wanted to wait for Ukraine to have low reserves and is using this offensive to draw in valuable Ukrainian reserves from Donbass and Kherson, and once those reserves are deployed to Kharkiv then I think Russia will launch a massive offensive or maybe even multiple massive offensives (they have multiple options of where they can launch these offensives Sumy, Kherson, Donbass), because Russia absolutely has the initiative and can dictate where the battlefield happens with Ukraine only being able to react to it, furthermore if you look at Kharkiv on a map there's lots of rivers, and lakes, meaning that there's dozens of bridges around the Kharkiv region, so I believe what will happen is once Ukraine deploys it's reserves to Kharkiv Russia will destroy any and all bridges in the region which will basically lock those reserves in the Kharkiv region and that would open up the opportunity for Russia to conduct a massive offensive while Ukrainian reserves are stranded around Kharkiv, not to mention that Russia can absolutely pound those reserves with artillery, drones, and FABs while they're stuck in the Kharkiv region essentially making them tactically inoperational while they slowly get destroyed by Russian firepower, and if Russia does this simultaneously with an offensive in Donbass or Kherson then it will mean that Ukrainian lines would crumble as they wouldn't have sufficient reserves to defend and any reserves they did have would be stuck around Kharkiv.
